Professional staff and very friendly! Especially the head golf pro! He helped me get the right clubs to rent since we were from Florida.
Perfect weather, nice golf course, nice meal afterwards...what is not to like?
Really enjoyable first time at this course will definitely go again soom
My worst golfing experience
As a 1-ball visitor to this course I followed a 4-ball members group that did not have the courtesy to let me play through (even though there was no one in front of them). The round took me 4+ hours. The fairways were badly maintained and the putting greens had weeds growing out of them. A beautiful sunny day ruined. Never again Stockley Park.
Waste of time and money
If this was someone’s first experience of golf, they’d sell their clubs, pack it all in and never play ever again. This was by far and away the worst 18 hole course I’ve ever had the misfortune to play. From the very first hole, which in the middle of summer was playing off winter mats, Our group had a pretty miserable 4 hours. When you book a specific time, and are told by the person on reception you’re free to go, you expect to tee off at that time. However, when we got to the first, we had a good half hour wait whilst groups in front tee’d off. Either people had just turned up and walked on whenever they felt, or the booking system had gone down the pan.
It never got better. Constantly waiting on the tee every hole, and that was far from the worst. The condition of the course was pathetic. I’ve never seen so much litter, or lack of care taken by greenkeepers to take pride in their work. Half the greens had been spikes, rendering them beyond useless, and the others it was a complete guess as to how they would play. The fairways were barely noticeable from the rough, and the bunkers had more rocks and stones in them than a quarry.
This is one course that would be best served as a local housing estate. If it wasn’t for the fact that the round we endured was the last round before one of our group headed back to Aus, I think we’d have walked off and demanded a refund.
Needs Investment
1st hole par 3, struggled to find tee box, temp tee box even in height of summer.
Rest of course a great layout with undulating fairways and tricky bunker placements.
Never have I ever seen Dandelions growing in greens....
Could be an amazing course, but all 18 tee boxes and greens need a lot of work and investment...!
Bunkers need sand and stone removal.
Staff in clubhouse friendly. No pro-shop, just an extension of the Bar area.
Very picturesque views over Heathrow and the ciry of London.
Won't be coming back
Unfortunately the course here is in urgent need of some TLC, it looks like he hasn't seen a lawn mower in weeks.
The lay out is poor and you spend more time walking between holes than actually playing.
We had a 5 ball in front of us which should never happen and made the last few holes ridiculously slow.
The best thing about the place was the food afterwards which was actually really nice.
Awful course!
There’s a lot of poor course management from the conditions to the marshals.
Not worth it!
Play again and again, never tired
In end March , most London golf courses in NW areas didn’t allow driving cart as the course was very wet . Luckily, stockley park golf course is in very good condition . We played several rounds there , fun layout and good scenery. Never get tired. Value for money!
Highly recommend ! Worth 4 stars
Fun and interesting course , despite a bit of walking to first tee . Good conditions both fairway and green . Tee boxes need improvement. Enjoyable game .
Stockley park review
Always liked the layout of the course except the 1st but the Tee's and greens were very poor so although it was great value for money I wouldn't recommend it
Great Course
Played this course several times some years ago so kinda knew its standard. But was still a nice surprise to play it an remember what it was like from back then. Went out back end of a society so pace was somewhat slow, so jumped onto the back 9 first then finished the front, all in all a great day an shot 78 so happy days....
Course condition poor
Ive played this course loads back in the 1990s, it was first class. The layout has changes and to the detriment, it is not looked after. Very disappointed as I took 2 guests. never again. I recommend the green staff look at the 17 green and base the rest of the course on its condition. it compares to what the course used to look like.
Not an enjoyable course
Played the course this morning, course in very poor condition especially the tee boxes and greens. No pitch marks repaired. Fairways not good either. Overall very poor value for money,no way worth £25, in this condition I would say £15 to £18 max, it's been a long time since this was a championship course.
Stockley Park , Uxbridge
I quite enjoyed the golf course . It was challenging to find entrance . Score card needs to have layout of 18 holes . I would prefer to have sketch of layout of each hole marked on each Tee off
Poor course management
Booked a tee time for 8:12, only to find a 5 ball on the 1st at that time. The pace was really slow due that group. Quit after 5 hours and still waiting on the 16th tee. Not sure why the marshall did not move on the group ahead as the hole in front was clear. Spent 5/10 mins on every tee box. What a joke.
Atrocious buggies & poor tee-off areas
You need a buggy on this course as he first hole is about a 15 minute walk and when you get there, you’ll be thinking if you really are on an 18 hole course rather than a community pitch & putt course! The buggies are the slowest buggies I have ever experienced. Plus they are charging £24 for each one which I think is very poor!
Desperately need to renew their buggies and their tee-off areas!
Avoid
I feel compelled to write this because if you’re considering paying to pay here... stop! It is dreadful, in poor condition, tee boxes are a shamble, the fairways despite the hot weather looks like it’s been manicured by a blind man. Don’t get started on the comical bunkers and appalling amounts of litter EVERYWHERE, seriously, what an absolute disgrace. To describe this as a golf course is embarrassment to all other green keepers.
Couldn’t bring me back here for free...
Greens ok and staff very helpful.
