Great little gem
Played the course at shirt notice and was absolutely blown away by it.
Course is in great condition and the holes are varied and require some course management.
Staff in the pro shop were friendly and welcoming.
I will definitely be booking another tee time here soon.
Poor greens
The course has a good layout.
we new the bunkers where all GUR.
But the greens are so poor pitch mark's everywhere and so slow it was like putting in treacle.
Very Scruffy
Not worth the green fee of £38. The bunkers were a total shambles. Could be a good course good layout and some good holes. Needs investment and a lot of TLC.
Good challenge
Course bit boggy in areas soft under foot would imagine lot Better in summer never the less challenge off the tee need distance and good position for second shot approach
Slow but enjoyable
4 and a half hours for a two ball is pushing it a bit I’m afraid. Course good but too slow again. I suppose it’s a resort course but even so somewhat spoiled the experience.
Layouts is good and challenging with some interesting holes and contouring on the greens.
Great little course
Played after work. Greens had been spiked but did not impact on play. Greens were quicker than they looked. Really nice course, have to plot your way round. Will be going again. Drinks were expensive.
Much improved course
About 2 -3 years ago I stopped playing here as the course was in poor condition and the scorecard was printed on a scrap piece of paper.
Now everything has improved , there are staff out on the course doing maintenance and the greens are near perfect compared to the dry, bare greens that used to be here.
This course is a lot better
Leave it until there’s been a drought
Excellent layout and playing on real tees and greens was a pleasant surprise, and the greens were pretty good for this time of year. But... the fairways were atrocious. Every single one was like walking through a big, even those on high ground. After every tee shot I was left hunting for my ball as it was plugging in the mud - I lost 3 balls in the fairway!! My shoes are ruined and legs were exhausted as it was like walking through snow drifts in flip flops. I live in the area and everywhere else seems to have dried after recent floods etc , so no idea why it was so saturated.
Tough conditions
Lovely course..tees and greens in good condition/fairways suffering due to recent poor weather... still an enjoyable round!
Very wet
It’s a lovely course but fairways were in a terrible state,it was a mud bath, probably shouldn’t of been open. Greens & Tees in good condition & generally a nice place.
Great Afternoon at Arscott
Beautiful countryside surrounds a very enjoyable course, greens were very good and the course offered a good variety of holes. Great friendly service in pro shop and I will definitely return and play again in the future.
Reasonable Hotel Golf Course
Pretty good - worth playing if your in the area. Staff were friendly and worth money to play. Would play again at some point.
A good challenge, suitable to all abilities
Played 6th October after heavy rain (2") the night before which meant the course was very wet under foot and the bunkers were out of play, yet the greens were still in exceptional condition under the circumstances. That said we had an enjoyable day and will return again in the better weather as this was exceptional value with friendly welcoming members and staff.
Great Track
Course was great, mixture of challenges, greens fantastic, pace of play was slightly slow however we played on a sunny Saturday so it was understandable, will definitely be returning
Value for money
Great course just needs some sand in some bunkers
And slow play due to cheap to play so busy
Great course.
I play here a lot. It has a driving range which I think is essential for a golf course. The course is great. Can often get a round at a low price so excellent value for money.
Great course good value for money played there many times not a problem.but on this occasion they had a soisiaty booked in in of which some of the players looked like they had not played much golf so wernt the quickest .so having booked on line think it would of been a good thing to be told of this so could decide whether to go on that day or not.having played 9 holes in 3 hours decided to call it a day.
