The Essex has a modern clubhouse and a sports brasserie filled with sporting memorabilia from around the world. It is sited on an ex-World War II airbase, with a flying club and a grass strip running along one side.
The short Executive Course (also known as Garden Course) offers an altogether different challenge with lakes and tightly guarded greens. The tricky par 4's and attractive par 3's present an intriguing and popular challenge to beginners and competent golfers alike.
