Lovely course for all levels of golf. FANTASTIC VALUE and a picturesque setting with a river winding through many holes.

Cheap but somewhat disappointing

Let’s start with the positive points: £22 for a round of golf on Sunday afternoon is quite good and the course layout is interesting. Now the bad points: The tee boxes are terrible, completely worn out, the greens dreadful, weeds and worn patches everywhere, they’re also slow and untrue. Anyone who enjoys putting will be awfully disappointed!

The bridges are falling apart, matting on the bridges and on the cart paths is crumpled and is a serious trip hazard. The signage is poor and some have fallen down or be smashed.

Practice facilities are poor and so is the driving range.

Course maintenance issues are vast, the course is obviously run on a small budget.

This is a perfect lad’s day out course for non-serious golfers. Wear football shorts, a tee-shirt and trainers and have a blast!

Good value for money

Course is good value for what you’re paying so can’t complain too much. However greens and tee box’s are not in great condition but can’t really complain paying £17 for 18 holes

Save your money

I played this course a year ago and thought it was good value for money. But clearly a year later it’s more a pun than a golf course.

Whilst I appreciate the summer has been extremely dry and all golf courses that don’t have watered fairways are bare. But the Tee boxes have no grass and the greens are just awful. The club have put in 3 new Padel courts to drive money. But no money have been invested in the course. The bridges are falling apart signage is awful and some have even fallen down. Some players wearing T shirts I understand you get what you pay for. But have some pride in what you own

Great value

Great value, on a par with other local courses but half the price. The greens have improved a lot through the year, fairways a little dry but totally understandable. A nice set up and a little hilly but that makes it different from other local courses. Staff were friendly, pace was a little slow(a two-ball) and a huge gap of empty holes in front of them developed without them letting us through(also a two-ball).

Unfriendly welcome

Having booked in at 12.24pm on a hot deal through GolfNow I actually arrived very early at 11am (due to work not taking as long as I thought).

I was told (in a rude manner) I can't go off early, I must until 12.24pm because I paid through the app using a hot deal. Which was only £2.50 cheaper! Despite I was only a single, and during the 84mins I had to wait, only 1 3-ball teed off!

On top of that, the course was in terrible condition. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all very poor.

Great value for money, variety of holes offering different shots. Tee boxes and greens however could be in better condition. For the money it is a great course. Just be prepared for a lot of hills.

Honest review

Thought id book a last min round here on sunday, I turned up the tee time had been double booked which wasn't a great start so that slowed me down from the off, due to lack or rain n hot conditions lately alot of the greens where missing grass n looked like they hadn't been watered, its a shame that management dont wanna hear what the paying public have to say and seem to accuse people of having a hidden agenda for just telling the truth

Great Round

Enjoyed playing course , carded best score for a while .

Course is very hilly so would recommend a mountain goat for your bag , I used a buggy , it’s only a single due to going through the tunnel , will only carry clubs nowhere for anything else ( drinks , card ) bit expensive £22 for buggy.

Till enjoyed it , great company on the day

Local course for local people,

Really weird gaff, terrible pace of play. Why do golf cubs still book single tee times on a Sunday comp day.

I guess a good local track but won’t be going back

Value for money

Had a good round at notly once again. Quite a challenging corse with plenty of hazards to deal with, greens do need some attention as there are a few bad patches on some of the greens, the only thing that lets this club down is some of the staff could be a bit more frindly to people visiting and not just the club locals. But all in all it’s really good value.

Hidden Gem

Played with my son and a friend. Great course without being too daunting. The are always available tee time and it offers great value. The layout is challenging without being oppressive. Would thoroughly recommend. They serve a great sausage roll in the clubhouse for either before your round or at the halfway point. Practice facilities are basic as is the driving range but sufficient.
