Great day out
Definitely worth a visit, great course layout especially the back 9. Nice club house and food & drinks after. Would recommend
Dissatisfied
The course was not in its normal condition the tee boxes were not in a good condition they seem to be sloping all over the place. The bunkers were in a very disgusting condition as not been raked properly for a while. And the pace of play was very poor it took over 4hrs for a 2ball
Very good condition, great value
Although there isn't much in terms of a range or practice facilities, there is a small putting green near the 1st and 10th Tee.
It was a little slow but that's not the fault of the club but the group in front of us.
Course is in excellent condition and the layout is good. Encourages you not to use your driver much as you can find yourself in trouble.
Slow play spoils the day!
A sunny windless day - course is great shape was marred by a slow playing society. They could be seen standing around chatting on every tee box in no hurry.
6 hour round - ridiculous!!!
Good course, slow play from 13
Pace of play was ok (we were a 2 ball) until 13 and then it stacked up and we waited on every tee which got progressively worse. 4.5 hours it took us in the end, when we believe it would have taken 3.5 at least. We still enjoyed the round and course is good value for money (£24) so I guess you take the rough with the smooth although I wasn’t in the tough much.... I shot 9 over! :)
Staff poor
Course well worth playing
Prices are reasonable
Staff definitely need people skills training
Nice Day Out
Steady walk and not very busy, tee boxes are a bit uneven but the fairways are wide enough for any wayward drives.
Good greens, friendly service, recommended
Played on a sunday morning paid £33, good value and in very good condition. Friendly service in the pro shop, smooth greens, recommended, worth a try.
Nice course, great value
A very nice and varied course. Back nine was tougher than the front nine, but overall a well balanced course with plenty of challenges without ever feeling that it was unfair. We'll definitely be back as it was great value.
Lovely course
First time playing Sth Bucks whilst working in Slough. Pro was really friendly and provided us with a course guide. Started of with a par then thought would have a brill game, however, got stung on four holes during the round didn’t break 100. Would definitely return as good value for money.
I like this course
I like south bucks a lot. Conditions were great - tees, fairways and greens. Two very different 9s with some interesting holes.
2 issues with it if I’m being picky but would still recommend playing there -
1 - I played solo and I’m fast and this course more than most just has 4 balls who don’t want to let you through. I was so quick around the first 13 (maybe 1.5 hours max) and then it took me 1.5 hours to do the last 5.
2 - the back 9 is a par 3 and then 8 x par 4s in a row. The holes are ok but it’s a little repetitive. I’d prefer to see one shortened and one lengthened to add some variety to the back 9.
South bucks
It needed some rain from the last time playing golf here, now course in great condition, will play there again soon
