Great place to play
Played course on a nice sunny day and really enjoyed the experience. The only downsides were that the greens had been hollow tined and sanded and were very bobbly. I am sure they will be flattened soon though. The other downside was the buggy price at £45 which is £10 dearer than most places. The bar food was excellent and the staff so friendly and helpful. Most of the holes have reasonably wide fairways - but there are a few bunkers placed strategically around to make you think. The course is pretty flat which is good for those like me that struggle with hilly courses on foot. Overall definitely worth playing and will visit again soon
Unhappy
We paid on the GolfNow app and it cost us £30 each, when we arrived we were told only 15 holes are open which we were not made aware of at the time of booking.
This course is never worth the money, it is in the short course with a lot of matts so half a course really!
Solo Round
Lovely course for the price. Greens were in great condition for the time of year. Great short game practice area near the club house. Pace of play was a little slow but I was let through multiple times so it wasn’t too bad overall.
Fab Course
Fab course in great condition, long, water or bunkers in play on most holes - a gem … highly recommended
Autumnal Excellence
From start to finish my playing partner and I had an excellent experience at the Springs - tips from the pro shop, super practice facilities, a great course in outstanding condition, and a lovely pint in the clubhouse.
Very impressed
This is described as a gem and I can’t disagree. Had a great day from arrival, short driving range to practice irons, practice area followed by a nice putting green.
The course did not disappoint, nice mixture of holes including the signature par 3 7th hole and risk and reward hole on 17.
Finished with a pint in the lovely setting of the spike bar where all the staff were welcoming.
Lovely chalk based course.
Amazing views. Great condition no matter the weather. Unbelievable value talking into acorn l account the awesome views. Highly recommended. Look forward to my next visit.
Springs
Good place to play. Got paired with friendly group and was quite fun. Bit slow by the end as few groups in front wax taking their time.overall recommend the course. Will be playing again
Very good greens
Love playing the Springs - am a repeat visitor .
Not long but long enough when the wind blows.
Plenty of chances for birdies on the par 5s and some short par 4s but you need to ‘keep the ball in front of you’ to take advantage…
Par 3 8th is excellent.
12th and 13th are the best par 4s for me.
17th risk reward hole - I really shouldn’t risk it but I do..
18th is a tough finisher.
Excellent putting green and chipping area.
The quality of greens for the price you pay is excellent.
Clubhouse is great. Staff friendly.
Pace of play on Weekends in summer is slow and could prob do with better spacing of groups.
But not slow enough to stop me coming back!
Springs
Nice course to play. Well kept greens and good layout. Few people in front of us were bit slow . But overall nice place for a round. Definitely will be coming back
Very good and refreshing experience.
3 reasonably accomplished golfers, played a few courses and The Springs delivered for the value for money.
£45 pp is a rarity for a good course these days so keep it up springs ! And the value down!
Good food and drink after too.
Great course
Played this course many times and it’s always in good condition.
Played it today and considering the dry weather we have had the course was in great condition.
A bit dry and bare on the approach to some greens, especially the back nine, but each and every green was in immaculate condition.
Great course, great value
