Haven’t played here I. 10 years
Wonderful clubhouse treatment. So welcoming. Work going on at the course and the hotel next door, but didn’t have any effect. The course is very tight, with holes very close. Not a particularly pretty course, but there are some super holes that make you really think about things.
The club house staff and the quiet course was massively appealing.
A gem in Oxfordshire countryside
Fantastic greens
Par 4s you can open shoulders on.
Tough par 5s
Well crafted par 3s
Water hazards to keep things interesting!
All set in idyllic countryside
Shaping up to be a great club - lots of investment in new hotel / clubhouse.
Great course, very friendly
The course facilities are excellent and the staff and members are friendly. The course layout is challenging although not particularly long. The greens are well kept and firm, a little slow on the day we played but can imagine them being very fast in the summer and get the impression the course would hold up well throughout the winter. Will definitely play again.
Great course / fantastic greens
Very nice picturesque course. Flat but reasonably long.
Greens were brilliant
Enjoyed the short game area
Accommodating staff
Pretty good
First time played, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the greens. Overall we wouldn’t place this in our favourite of courses but it did have some challenging aspects for the average golfer, and I would play here again. Obviously the facilities will be better when finished. I felt that at least 1 par 3 could have been shorter to mix things up a little
Poor Value for Money
This course is not worth £40. It is an example of many courses today that had grand plans but then run out of money.
Golf bandits
Great course
Played in the rain and the course was excellent held up very well
My mate ryan got a few lucky bounces of all the trees he hit but other than that he came in with 23 points
Bit shabby not chic
Over 4.5hrs to get round the course, and I got the feeling that any money to be spent there was being spent on the new hotel.
The course was only OK it need some love and attention.
Springs Golf Club
First time played and really enjoyed the course. A lot of renovation work which meant no access to the clubhouse but temporary measures work well. Great use of bunkers on course and will definitely return again when the clubhouse is open.
Good COVID-19 protection
This club has made some very impressive efforts to keep golfers safe off the course staff very welcoming.
Pace of play with the mid week old guard painfully SLOW.
Very poor Etiquette
Nice course, friendly staff, great pace of play
Chose this course as it was equidistant for me and a friend who lives in Surrey, and reviews looked good / tee off time was good for us.
Very pleased with pro shop check in process (next to 1st tee), with appropriate (but not excessive) Covid processes. Course was good. Back 9 better than front 9 (which felt a bit short). It suits an average player, with plenty of room and not too much need for ball searching. Quite a lot of sand though which can be a test.
Some really nice holes, and picturesque course in general. Also, hardly saw anyone else all round. Very quick pace of play, even on a Sunday afternoon.
They have a marquee bar next to the 18th green which is perfect in Covid times. No need to download course app to buy a beer (like some places), and staff efficient and friendly. I've waited 10mins for a beer at some places with table service / app ordering in the past. Here, it was instant (bottles of ale).
Would definitely recommend.
Great day
Had a good round right up until the 14th hole where we came up against two groups of 4 balls who did not have a clue and were so slow because of their bad play and did not offer us to play through, this spoiled what was a great day. Maybe golf etiquette should be taught to some.
The course was very good considering all the rain we had over the last couple of days.
