Had a really good round at a lovely setting. The course is a fair challenge with some shorter holes with plenty of challenge still. Three holes closed for bunker repairs but other bunkers did not have great sand either - we were told in advance and played at a reduced rate. The pro took us out to explain the start tee and how to play the course which was a nice touch. Greens and fairways were in good condition and the holes were varied. Definitely would play again but would advise playing odd iron off the tee on shorter par 4 holes!

We thought this would be a well kept course but the greens are horrendous. Very disappointing and it certainly took a lot of the fun from the game. Considering it was dry, 21 degrees, no excuses.

Great Pro in the pro shop very helpful, course was good pace of play, greens very good for wet conditions over past few weeks

Really enjoyed playing this course with its layout and the well maintained fairways and greens. There is currently a drainage programme going on but this didn't affect the golf in any way.

Staff were really friendly and helpful with advise on some of the hazards to look out for on the course.

If I lived in the area I would consider joining for sure.

Truthfully seemed like 10/18 holes had had the same work done..very strange to be doing this on prime golf season??

Bunkers as bad as I’ve seen look ok but literally 10mm of sand depth on all of them!!

Great course . Some really tricky fairways . Greens were in great condition . I tend to slice abit and the roughs and areas of trees were really forgiving . Definitely will be back . Book for afternoon slots on weekends the price seems to half than in the mornings

Went for a Golf weekend playing Saturday and Sunday. Being early April we had four seasons in one day including hailstones. The course was wet in some places but generally OK. It is a tough test under those conditions but well worth the trip. The course was very quiet on Saturday so play moved quickly. Sunday was busier and a bit slow for the first seven holes but picked up and fine after that.

From arrival staff at the golf centre and the hotel were pleasant, helpful and efficient I really can't fault the experience on that front. Food was good, there is a good range of beers in the bars and prices are what you would expect. Overall we had a great weekend and would recommend it.

Played better on better Sunday league pitches than the state of the fairways/tee boxes

Have never complained on reviews before but the golf company seem to be concentrating on new hotel built during covid. Would like to say the course was in pure condition the excuse was it is on clay but the greens were in excellent condition but looked like the ground staff had only partially cut the fairway and the bunkers were in terrible will e contracting golf now for partial refund

Even though it was raining we were really looking forward to playing this course. However, we found the whole course to be extremely soft under foot and there was standing water on the greens and the fairways. i would understand this if it wasn't the first weekend of October. It just seems to have very poor drainage which totally undermined what is a lovely course in terms of layout and view.

Really enjoyed the course & found it quite difficult, especially off the tee. The only thing that spoiled it for me was it was very slow on the back 9. We were a 2 ball & were stuck behind some slow play & 4 ball in front of us never let us through.

Great course, well looked after, friendly staff/groundsman

This course is really tight with tree lined fairways and many blind shots. But it truly is a delight to play. Immaculate fairways and perfect greens. I will definitely return.
