Trent Lock Riverside course is a great challenge, the greens are immaculate and quick. In fact the whole course is in great condition. Staff and green keepers are friendly and must love the course like we did, great day out. Would recommend…
Nice Course good condition,
Nice course with plenty of sand and water hazards good challenge
Same as ever
Been playing here for almost 20yrs. Over that time there’s been a few changes. Like the 2nd and the 3rd hole. More recently the 4th and 6th green expansions. But overall hasn’t really changed. Would like to see the water extended more, especially on 1st, 10th, 8th, 16th & 17th.
Greens are ok. Definitely need more heavy rolling.
Overall it’s ok. Bit boring and flat.
What a glorious day.
Friendly staff, great weather, greens in great condition, for the amount of traffic. Highly recommended
Water water everywhere!
A proper testing course with plenty water hazards and bunkers. Tightish fairways and some dog leg short par 4's which encourages you not to use driver but it's then what do you use as you can put yourself in trouble using driver on quite a few holes. Greens were tough with some really hard pin positions which makes me think I might have played it on captains weekend/drive etc. Overall very nice and testing and last hole is a good signature hole.
Great value
Paid £25, for 5pm tee off. Finished before it got dark too!
Course in excellent condition, despite lack of rain during April.
Greens quick and true, with some tricky slopes.
Some friendly members joined us for last two holes. This is when my game disintegrated, but performed a miracle on the 18th when my topped drive skimmed across the lake to find dry land. Still ended up with a quadruple bogey as my first effort off the tee met a watery grave 🤣
Terrific Trent
A really nice course with variation and challenge in equal measure. When I played it was well presented with fairways, tee boxes and around the greens clearly defined snd prepared The bunkers had sufficient sand and the water traps had decent quantity of water. The greens were well presented and were true. No complaints. Off the course theee was an American Golf outlet with everything you need and a very nice restaurant. Again nothing not to like. My only gripe. No club ball marker. 😩
Very slow
Very slow pace of play 3h 30 minutes through 13 holes had to walk off, to many single players we had to let through.
Average conditions alot of potentianal
The course its self is not a bad layout for the average golfer. However there are lots of little things that need sorting, Tee boxes are in poor shape lots of divots and no sign of repair. The green could do with a little more grass growth, this may stop the scalping of several of the greens. The fairways are very hard much to playing off concrete when it is dry. The bunkers need lots of TLC many have weeds growing in them and the sand is full of stone in some bunkers and is a low grade sand and hard to get out off. There are a lot of bare gras areas around tees and greens which could be sorted to make better. Seems to have a lot of pay and play and found very little evidence of course instruction like repair pitchmarks, GUR or even please rake bunkers
Trent lock riverside course
An enjoyable game played on a cold frosty day, but only one winter green in play.
Lots of water hazards ie ditches ponds etc which I seemed to find most of them, but very flat for those of us with dodgy knees. The course and greens were in good condition for time of year, my only gripe was not played it before we were looking round for next hole at times as they were not well defined routes.
