Trent Lock Golf Centre - 9-hole Course

Hopefully the new management will invest some time and money into the 9 hole course at Trent Lock as it's pretty much unplayable at the moment due to the state of the course, in particular the greens.

All the years playing this course I’ve never seen it in such bad condition. Tee boxes are really poor with hardly anny grass and very uneven and the greens had big patches of grass as mud and chunks missing looking like someone had been at it with a pick axe. Granted they must be having trouble with wildlife hacking up the greens but what’s really annoying is they are still charging full price. I could handle these bad conditions if they reduced the Green fees accordingly.

I stopped playing on the 9 hole course about 4 months ago due to how bad the greens were and they still raised the price but I was convinced to try again a few weeks ago.

There's been massive improvement especially with the greens which im happy about because it's a nice lay out for a 9 hole course

The course is generally well maintained other than the greens.

The price is very competitive for 9 holes and the length of the holes are great.

Course condition good price per round it was £10-00 per round which was readable. My last visit I found it had risen to £16-00 over 50 per cent rise in less than six months, started my round got to the first hole (I think the grounds man must be joking as to where he placed the flag 🥵 ) this was the same on 4 other holes , the conditions of the greens are absolutely terrible . I think £8-00 per round would be a bout right will I play again on this course a big fat no😡

The greens were rough and bobbly and the fairways were just hard. Not worth the fee unfortunately

£15 to play 9 holes on a course with the greens in horrific state ( hollotined and full of moss )

Fairways not cut and most the tees from uneven sand patches.

Such a shame as actually like the layout better than the 18 across the road but jeez its middle of April .

Even if you book online and save £3 its still not value for money ...

I play this course on a regular basis , normally 3 times a week it’s a good challenge for any golfer. It’s over 2600 yards off the yellow tees, it’s one of the best courses in the area. It doesn’t matter what standard of golfer a person is it’s a good pay and play challenge.
