Golfer Reviews
Brilliant course in great condition.
Brilliant course in great condition.
Club Pro was welcoming and helpful explaining the course and it's condition.
First time playing this course and would certainly return. Course is in great condition although it has been really dry, greens playing true, rough maintained and bunkers all sanded and prepped.
Excellent holes, with some tricky ones with numerous traps and water hazards.
Unable to test the club house unfortunately but looked nice and the course has putting green, chipping area and practice range so facilities are all there.
Forgiving course
First impressions are amazing, lovely practice area. Course is very forgiving with wide open fairways and drivable par 4 holes. Greens are absolutely fantastic!
Get the club sandwich after the round!
Beautiful greens
First time playing Vale, I had heard this was a great course and I was not disappointed. First thing, practice green was in great condition, I thought to myself hope the course greens are as good and they where. Fairways where in good shape and nice to hit from. Bunkers had nice soft sand with plenty of rakes. All in the course was in great condition, one of the best I've played, and for £35 a bargain can't wait to play again.
Great greens
Nice welcome in the pro shop, course in really good condition with true greens, it flows really well and is not a difficult walk.
Incredible.
Best green fee to course quality ratio I have ever played. It is absolutely sensational.
conditions fantastic, every single hole, different and has character, beautifully looked after. Tough course, really tricky in places but rewarding.
Reminds me a lot of a more parkland version of Delamere forest GC, well worth the visit, will be back.
Stunning Course
One of my favourite courses played to date, I had an early morning tee time (06:00am) and with it being quiet I was able to play at a comfortable pace and take in the stunning course layout and scenery. Really great course and I will be back as often as possible. The green keepers are also proactive and respectful of play which demonstrates a pride and work ethic which was appreciated, all round great experience.
Vale Royal Abbey
One of my favourite courses in Cheshire.
Condition of course was unbelievable and the greens were like a carpet.
Played this course around 5 times now, different times of the year. Today’s condition was the best I’ve seen but I’ve never been disappointed with the condition of the course.
Good lay out, good condition
Well received at the Pro shop. Ended up playing solo which was fine. Early start but the course/greens already prepped for the day by ground staff.
Good layout, good condition. Greens very good and relatively fast. Would play again
Excellent course
Thoroughly enjoyed our round at Vale Royal. Course in superb condition despite the dry weather. Greens ran true and fast, fairways were challenging. Just a couple of holes that weren't clear as to next tee, but not a big problem, would recommend.
Great course but not when they have just tined and sanded the greens
This is a great layout, testing in places and a fun course. Sadly, our booking fell on a day the green staff had timed and heavily sanded the majority Of the greens. GN need to find a way to make this a choice for customers as it is a great course but sadly is down scored due to this point
Very good course
This course has matured very well and is in very good condition. The greens were very true. The green fees are very reasonable for the quality of the course
Great Course
Really enjoyed the course. Facilitators were excellent and the staff I spoke to were very helpful.
The only downside was a four ball of older chaps in front of me who refused to allow me to play through. 2hr 15m to play 9 holes as a 1 ball is a joke. I walked off after 9.
It hasn’t put me off playing there again and hopefully I will get to complete all 18.
