Heard that the course was just ok... but it was in great nick and well tended.. fairways and greens were excellent.

Well worth the green fee of £24..

Nicely laid out course and in good condition

First time playing wergs a friend recommended it to me,glad He did nice course well looked after enjoyed it although didn’t have a great round the greens had just been done so putting and reading them was difficult,but in a few weeks this should be a lot better a good test for most golfers with 4 par 5s and long par 3s not to mention plenty of ponds and streams on the back 9 so staying switched on is key here to a good round looking forward to going back with a few mates who have yet to play it.

Great course, well looked after. Front 9 greens had been tined and sanded so we’re not easy to putt with accuracy but this is also evidence of good maintenance by the green keepers, so will no doubt be better for it. Will return soon.

Course condition was very good for this time of year. Although there was a lot of work pruning/ cutting down some of the trees this had a small impact on us enjoying the course. Greens were in great condition and quite fast for this time if the year. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Would recommend you trying this course out. Weather did help. Although we started off in woolly hats and layers of clothing we finished the back nine in short sleeves and wearing a cap to protect us from the sun.

All 3 golfers really enjoyed the day. Course was in good condition and the greens surprisingly very quick

Second time playing course booked through golf now would definitely recommend it

Disappointed 8 temporary greens wasn’t referenced on the site or social media and not getting a discount. May be a better course than we experienced. Be a nice course to play in the summer.

My home course is wet so I have checking out other courses in hopes for some “dry’ish” golf. The Wergs hit that for the most part. I was hopeful as the Wergs doesn’t have a lot of water features. The greens were good and though they had three temp greens - really only one should’ve been a temp in my opinion (I did greens keeping work when I was a youngin). The only knock is that it is neigh on impossible to get the right entrance as they have been doing road works on both entrances (alternating between the two).

I really do love this course and was excited to play it again. This was soon not the case the past of play was extremely slow we were waiting on every tee box it was that bad we walked off after 9 holes. I understand that it was a Sunday with no rain so of course it was going to be busy but the four balls were not letting 2 balls through. I will return to this course but I will be making sure it is a weekday. On a positive the Course was holding up very well greens were of a good standard tee boxes were not the best but high volume of traffic this was acceptable.

Very disappointed with temporary greens and tee points . Was not aware of this until we arrived .

Very wet conditions hence stand bags only. Extremely slow play by players in front ! Over 5 hours to complete.
