Awful experience
Paid £45 to play this course for the first time, fairways are wet, muddy, poorly maintained even for this time of the year. Had played much better course through winter with much better condition. Can’t always blame the winter, if drainage is the issue, improve the drainage. There are better courses to play this time of the year. £45 is just not worth it. Wouldn’t come back even for half the green fee.
Good greens
Tricky little course , some challenging holes. Apart from the greens which were very good , the course doesn't appear to enjoy a drop of rain. Very wet in places and the rough wasn't the best I always seemed to have bad lies. I'd accept it if I was playing a parkland course. Having said that the greens were lovely and was worth the 25 green fee alone.
Decent Course, Slow Pace of Play
First time at the course and it was in good condition for early December. Staff in the pro shop and at the bar were friendly, as were the members. Great practice area including covered nets.
Slow pace of play due to multiple two-balls in the late members tee times meant the round took almost 4.5 hours.
Okay value for money for this time of year but there are cheaper green fees out there for similar courses.
Great course beautifully kept
I am a member at another local course and played at West M Middlesex with three friends. Glorious warm October day. Course immaculate and great fast running greens. Small issue with slow play pair ahead of our 4 , but nothing to really worry about. Great spot!!
Great spot
All the previous review are correct. You really have to think whilst playing this course. If you’re a long hitter the first 6 holes, you’ll use clubs you haven’t in a while. You have to consider shot shape and positioning to score low.
Course was in great condition and staff were very friendly. 100% will play again !
Classy old fashioned golf course
This golf course may not be in the most salubrious location these days but the layout and the architecture of the course are redolent of the origins of the game, and the full skill set is required, You can feel the eyes of James Braid upon you as keenly as those from the tower blocks or the cranes. Don’t be put off by the location. This is a golf course with a 130 years of history and it’s plain to the connoisseur. If you’re worried about whether you’re bashing your new Titklesit driver 300 yards yet don’t come but if you want to use all the sticks you’ve got, it’s perfect.
Slow Play
The course is a unique layout and in good condition. The drainage at low points of the course may need some improving.
We were placed behind a 3 ball (unsure if members or not). Had to wait on multiple holes which heavily slowed our round. This became highly frustrating and made the round much less enjoyable than we had hoped.
Great Value
Enjoyable course
Ameneties are the downfall as with most clubs in UK
Course in good knick
Greens in very very good condition.
Please put up Course rating sheets and Have Pin Sheets.
Not any distance markers.
Overall very happy to play this course and will be back. My partners issue was no on course toilet anywhere.
Enjoyable layout with some challenging par 3s.
Will be back
Lovely course
Staff very friendly. Well looked after course. Challenging, but good for all levels I would say
Short but challenging
The course is a little short witj a par of 69. However it has some very challenging long par 3's & 4's which make the course fun to play regardless of your ability.
cracking course
really nice lay out with a variation of holes , a very good challenge , the greens where immaculate , i will defo be back when it's less windy lol
No complaints!
Had a great day at West Middlesex GC, came down to this course because I was picking up at Heathrow. Greens were in fantastic condition well watered. Hole 5 I caught up to a member who was very welcoming named 'Del' great guy, friendly staff in the pro shop and the clubhouse. I will be returning if I'm near the area at any point.
