Lovely Picturesque Course
A lovely course to play. Very picturesque with lots of wildlife, like ducks, squirrels and wild birds. Course is not too difficult, no hills, but plenty of trees, so it helps to land on fairway occasionally. Greens were in great condition and fairways were well maintained, will definitely play here again.
Pilgrimage to St Augustine's
Decent course not too long and playing shorter due to dry conditions. Some challenging holes (12th is particularly tight). Greens in good conditions though variable in speed; some of the tee areas were a bit dry and hard. Enjoyed playing the course though and found it a good challenge
St Augustine’s
Course was in good condition overall a few GUR areas including greens but this did not spoil our enjoyment of the course.
St Augustines
Excellent value for money and very friendly club and good food 👍
St Augustine’s
Had a fantastic 2 ball yesterday with the missus, her first experience of this course. She thought it was very good, plenty of wide fairways and lovely trees. I’d thorough recommend this course. Staff very friendly as were the members we met on the day
Great course
Our first time at this course but definitely not the last,we loved everything about it,nice friendly staff in the pro shop when you turn up is always a great start. The course is lovely in a good setting, greens were good and true,
Course in great condition
Considering the lack of rain. St As is in great condition. The loyalty card is a great idea. Very helpful pro shop. All round good experience
Super little course
Really fun, some tricky holes and greens in great nick. Top staff as well
One of my favourite
It's an absolute pleasure to write about st. Augustine's! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with a genuinely warm welcome that makes you feel right at home. The staff are fantastic – always friendly, helpful, and ready with a smile. It truly creates a wonderful atmosphere that extends throughout the entire club.
Now, let's talk about the course itself. If you're looking for a beautifully maintained course that offers a delightful round of golf without being overly punishing, then look no further. This place strikes that perfect balance. The fairways are generous, the greens are true and well-kept, and while there are definitely strategic elements to consider, it's a course that allows you to enjoy your game and build confidence. It’s the kind of course where you can have a good score and still feel challenged in the right ways.
Beyond the excellent golf and the welcoming atmosphere, the facilities are also top-notch. The clubhouse is comfortable and inviting, the practice areas are well-equipped, and the overall sense is one of a club that truly cares about its members and visitors.
If you're searching for a golf club that offers a fantastic golfing experience in a friendly and inclusive environment, then I wholeheartedly recommend St Augustine It's a real gem!
Only when dry
Short course, open so ideal for the beginner or high handicapper. Could be more signage on the course as some of the tees are a little away from previous greens but a minor thing.
Nb: all most unplayable when it's been raining. Only play when semi dry or better!
Great day for the price
Overall me and a friend both average golfers paid £27 for a round of golf and a buggy and we felt it was great value. The golf pro was such a nice guy, very chatty and helpful. The only thing was some of the greens were quite wet but you could tell these were the greens that hadn’t seen a lot of sun during the day but it didn’t really bother either of us. The other players on the course were also very friendly with us allowing people through and others allowing us through. Will defiantly be going back there
Amazing course!
Amazing course shame didn’t drain well especially if you’re next to the coastline. But great course. Only issue was trying to find the 10th hole as the sign was the wrong way round but we found it quite quickly! Half way house and the club house was amazing with great staff felt welcome. Me and my friend will definitely come back once the weather gets a lil bit better.
Great condition
For a coarse mainly below on at sea level first class all the way not only trollies buggy’s as well no mud great fairways and good greens well done to every member of staff
Thank you
