Bluewater Bay Resort - Lake Course

Pro:

1. Played alone with no one in front of me.

2. Played two balls on most holes. Lot's of practice.

Con:

1. Cart paths only. Wasn't really necessary as the only standing water I saw was on a few areas of cart path.

2. All traps were wet and too firm to hit out of. Couple of traps had standing water.

Suggestion:

Need an extra trailmarker to get to Marsh 9th hole. Luckily a resident steered me in right direction.

First time playing here and the pace of play was wonderful. Teed off at 8:20 in the morning and we were done at noon. Course is in good condition ! Challenging little course but plenty of opportunities to score. Great views on a couple holes. Greens were slow bc they were grown out so much but that’s really my only complaint. The grill was also closed so we couldn’t grab a post round meal but that’s all right. Overall very friendly and got everything I expected for about $35/ person.

Con's

1. Greens aerated recently, not fully recovered.

2. Lot's of fairway patches that were devoid of grass.

Pro's

1. Plenty of roll as day was dry.

The greens were very good, but lots of bad areas in fairways- looks like they are doing lots of improvements though- keep up the good work. Will want to play it again

Everything closed when we finished at 3 pm- would like to be able to get a little snack or something to drink!

This course is the definition of a goat ranch. Rude staff, no bar, no driving range. No thanks.

The course conditions were very poor. Greens were horrible, many burnt-out and bare spots. The price was cheap but I have played this course several times before in prior years and the course was in good condition. It is in terrible shape now.

Layout is fine in few weeks the grass will have grown. It's between the rye dying g and the Bermuda Taking over, would play again.

Yes, the conditioning is a little on the shabby side, but it requires skill to position the ball off the tee in order to have a clear shot into the smallish greens. The low fees, great staff and perfect weather made our first round in five months thoroughly enjoyable!

Course was obviously immaculate in it’s day. But seems neglected now. It needs some TLC but is priced right in the interim. A few greens were very nice and others were not so healthy. Hardly anyone out there so pace was good.

Clubhouse has no amenities. Staff was friendly.

Narrow fairways. Holes are all renumbered due to renovation. So your gps watch is worthless. No reflectors on flags so laser finders won’t work either. Most holes have a plaque at 100 and 150. Only a few sprinklers are marked. So all yardage is guess work.
