Glen Mill

Nice long par 3 course. Nice mix of short and long par 3 holes. Greens slightly sanded. Which weren't too bad, could of been better. Very little to get excited about over the first 5 holes. Very average. Little or no bunkers. The course doesn't get going until the short par 3 6th over a lovely waterfall feature. 102 yards. PW for me. Missed my birdie, got par. 7th a lovely hole, shooting downhill over water. 8th 9th and 10th nice long par 3 holes, ranging from 188 yards 207 yards to 157 yards. Average holes but a nice test (3/5 Irons for me). 11th average hole 157 yards (but its a nice hole to look at). The 12th is a tiny pitch n putt hole. No signage off the 11th green. Finally twigged it. Down a horrible dirt pathway full of tractor tracks. Then you've to climb up mount everest to get to the 13th tee. But what awaits you is something majestic... The signature 13th the best hole on the course 134 yards over water, bunkers at the back. I shot a 6 iron (just to be sure). Hit it just short of the bunkers at the back (thank god). Delious chip, saved par. This hole is designed on the 11th hole par 3 in Agusta national USA. Fantastic designed hole. 14th not bad. Aim for the hill on the right hand side. Nothing to get excited about. 15th short hole 94 yards. PW for me, missed my birdie, par. 16th average hole up mount everest again. 123 yards. PW again. Stitched birdie. 17th a lovely short hole 126 yards over a waterfall beautiful hole, stitched with an 8 iron another birdie. 18th very average straight boring hole. Nearly got smashed in the head with a golf ball before I was about to tee off. Very dangerous.

The tee boxes are far too close to some of the greens. Management should seriously look at this. The young lad in the clubhouse was polite and a gentleman. Well done. Looked after me.

A guy named Aidan (I think he looks after the golf society) was very friendly, nice man. Handed me a nice cool bottle of water after my round. Thank you again.

2 and half hours and you'll be walking off the 18th. I enjoyed it. I'll be back 7/10

Greens like bunkers.

Always enjoy Glenmill but greens where heavily sanded, I know this has to be done but golf should be cheaper when this work is being done.

Well Maintained

Really enjoyed the day, the course was well laid out with friendly staff on hand to help with queries as it was our groups first time here. Hills not too steep for the area but carts available if needed. Some breathtaking views. Will be back.

A Gem of a short course

To call this just a par 3 golf course is unjustified, this is a course that fits the bill between a par 3 and a full golf course offering you all the challenges you require with superb layout and excellent greens.

Tricky par 3 - well worth a visit

A unique well kept course about 45 mins from Dublin. Some tricky holes set amid beautifully kept parklands. A small word of warning. The winter tee boxes are still in play and will scratch your clubs.

Overall a very pleasant round.

Winter Rule & Scratched clubs

Be aware that winter mats are in operation.

However they are not in very good condition as a lot of them had gravel on them resulting in a few scratches.

Swimming trunks and a Helmet

I think it's fair to say that the water hazards on this course have paid for themselves ten fold, with golf ball sales at reception.

Great little course, if you are looking for a relaxing game with little walking.

However I would bring a helmet as there is a lot of tee boxes right beside greens.
