Great course in top condition

This course is a great test for golfers of all levels. The back 9 are long and put yards in your legs but the course is always looking great. Its not a course that handles the rain very well so I’d avoid it when it’s been wet for a while but when it’s dry it’s one of the best courses around.

Great course!

Had a great time playing the course, lads in the pro shop very helpful. Course can be very tricky as a mid/high handicap golf those extra balls came in handy. 8th hole is superb. 100% recommend playing

Good test,

Lovely drive into the grounds. Glad we had players in front of us as a few greens to next tee could be hard to work out. Course layout was good with a mix of pars and dog legs throughout.. par 3s are stunning.

Very nice course when dry

Really like playing this course , but only when its been dry for a few days before as drainage is poor. Bunkers need more sand in them and the weeds growing in alot of the bunkers are a bit of a shame making it look cheap . Greens are good .

Major work needed! Should be less than £20

Used to be a member here in 2013/14, always enjoyed the layout. Beautiful par3, testing par 4s and playable 5s and some incredible greens.

First time playing in a few years. We paid £38.99 each.

Had to clean the ball after almost every tee shot (landing on the fairway), if it was a foot in the rough it was gone. No sand in any bunker and each one had long grass growing around them. Daisy's on most fairways, hundreds of large divots throughout the course. Course needs a lot of work to fulfil it’s potential. Could and should be one of the best parklands in the area.

Really nice putting green, runs excellently.

Practice net and mat is an embarrassment and should be binned!

Shouldn’t be charged over £20 for this at present. Feel aggrieved to have paid nearly £40 for it.

Excellent changing areas and restaurant for after the round.

Great days golf

Course was in stunning condition, long and hilly in the back 9. Only thing letting the course down is the quality of sand in the bunkers, scuffed a wedge when playing out of one thanks to a massive stone! Apart from that thoroughly enjoyed the day out.

What a place

I've been to a few courses in and around Glasgow and debated memberships. For this place I would 100% become a member... unfortunately I don't drive :(.

The place looks amazing. Staff are really friendly and welcoming.

The course is just wonderful to play on. Even though I shot my worst score it was still a delight. Never got frustrated at the course just my swing I was.

Fairway are great and the greens are superb. Bunkers are good to play out of too... as I ended up in 8 bunkers.

The landscape is great to look out on and it has a flair of peacefulness to look out on as well.

Best course I've played on to date.

Good

No sand in bunkers, they shouldn’t be in play as there like concrete, course fairways thick dirt 2 weeks of dry weather and still very heavy dirt and damp

Fantastic test of golf

We played Rowallan after one of the wettest weekends on record. Course was wet but it didn't stop us having a wonderful experience. Just desperate for a game of golf we searched for an area that looked like it would avoid the heavy rain for a few hrs. So lucky we stumbled across this wonderful course. Conditions underfoot were tough but there was no escaping the quality of this track. It's long, very long, but fair. A real test for us mid handicappers. The wind tested us further. Beautiful views and picturesque the whole way round. Can't wait to return next year under more pleasant conditions. Staff were amazing, couldnt be more helpful tbh. We didn't manage to try the food in the restaurant but the surroundings did look first class. I would give Rowallan a huge thumbs up, a relatively "new" course that is only going to improve as it matures. Fantastic day out.
