Above Avg Golf
For a new course it is challenging. Greens are true throughout the entire course.
Bonita National
Course was enjoyable but still needs some time to look more complete. Didn't like the gas golf carts.
nice course
first time here. It is a pretty new course, so the pathways & vegetation need to grow out. The course condition was very good. wide open fairways & very good greens. Clubhouse still being built. Staff very friendly. The practice facilities are fine. The course is laid out within Lennar home development that is still very much under construction. I would play here again. A bargain this time as I used a reward from golfnow.com. Only paid $3.49 for the round. thanks golfnow.
good course, good staff, great facilities
Nice course some interesting holes, worth the trip. Management needs to mark the water hazards better. some well hit shots will end up in the water otherwise, great experience.
No tricks here
If you drive the ball to the right from the tee box, this is the course for you. LOTS of room.
Bonita National
Excellent Course conditions with very nice and large greens.
Bonita Nat'l
Would love to play it everyday. As the course matures, it will develop into one of SWFLA's best.
maintained coarse
The coarse was well maintained. Grass was cut well. Coarse in great shape for Fl.
New but getting there quickly!
Though still in the midst of housing construction the course is a well laid out and a challenging day of golf pleasure.
The lengths from the variety of tee boxes and the waste and sand bunkers make you think your way around the course.
I think one more season of growing and refining and it will be one of SWF 's best.
construction everywhere it's not ready to be open yet ,will go back in five years when it's quiet
This could be a nice Lay out someday ! There are construction trucks everywhere noise beyond belief for a golf course, you can't even think about golf while playing there with the noise ,corporate greed once again shouldn't have opened for two years ,you have been warned !
Fun new course
Had a great time playing at Bonita national. Very open course and can be forgiving if you hit a bad shot. Will definitely play again soon
Just right
Have played the course several times. Not once have the greens been of quality. Being a high handicapper the course fits me fine. Summer rates are great, and the landing areas are generous.
Up and coming course
I liked the course. It was not really packed and the pace of play was around 4 hours. This was my first time on this course and it proved to be somewhat challenging with the fairway moguls. Although the fairways are pretty open they do tend to narrow approaching the greens. The one downfall was the greens had been aerated and our putts were bouncing all over the place.
Great value
This is a fun course in good condition. The greens could be a little faster but they roll true. If you get s chance definitely check this course out just bring bug spray.
Becoming much better established
Nice course, in good condition, though greens had been sanded and less than ideal.
This course has some good features
I like the course, needs to mature and in a few years should be a sought after golf course in this area.
Bonita National...
First, if you've never been here... IGNORE Golf Now address locator. It said the course was a good 15-20 miles west of the actual location.
The course and the community are very new, a lot of construction going on. The greens on the front 9 still need some seasoning, very bumpy. The back 9 greens were better, and based on the houses already built on that side, my guess is that 9 is the original, and been around a while longer. There is water in every hole, and near every green, no exaggeration. Overall, it's a very nice layout, with a ton of potential. It just needs some more time to mature.
Course needs to mature
Brand new facility. Course needs to mature. Sight lines non existant. Greens had not been properly cut for days. Will go back in a few years. Don't waste your money right now.
Ho-Hum
In it's defense, the course is new...but! I consider an example of a good/great course is one that you remember some or most, even all the holes due the the "character" of each hole. Alas, this was like going to 18 "different" McDonald's. In addition, the greens (new) were rough. Sorry, but it was boring.
