New gem
This is a very new course but yet very mature conditions. Great layout, generous fairways, excellent greens. It would be a great every day course.
For a new course you can't beat it
The course is very straightforward. It's not tricked out. Just a lot of fun to play
Very Playable
The course is very new. It opened for play at the start of 2015, but the conditions are very good all around...tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens. The bunkers are fluffy, but fair.
There are several holes where water comes into play 180-280 yards from the tee, and my only complaint is that there is no GPS on the carts, so there's no way to tell exactly how far away the hazards are. Perhaps they will remedy this in the future, but for now it makes things tougher than needed.
Other than that, the course is fun to play. The community isn't close to being completed, so expect construction and noise alongside many holes thoughout the round, but nothing actually ON the course. As a fun note, we saw 4-5 gators in the lakes during our round.
The course is worth about $35 during the summer, and maybe $75 during the winter.
This course is worth the drive
This was the 2nd time I played at Bonita National and I totally enjoyed both rounds, This is going to be a top pick for my group and cannot wait to see it completed with finished grounds, housing etc.
New Course !!!
This course is obviously a new course, but will be even better as all the tress mature. Wide landings on most of the holes. Greens were faster than most in the area. Would recommend to play, but a little pricey. Not worth the published rates, but you can get a deal. Family has a vacation home in Bonita Springs, FL, so this was fairly close.
Played for the first time
After reading the reviews about all the construction noise, i was skeptical. That being said, I enjoyed this course. The layout is nice. most holes are seperated by water from the fairways which makes most of the noise a non factor.
Water is all over this place. If you don't look at the scorecard map you will find hidden water. If it is windy the water will come into play. Greens are firm cause its that time of the year.
We will be back next year for sure.
A Gem
All I can say is this new course is beautiful even with all the new home construction going on. the greens were so smooth and challenging. The fairways were wide and inviting. Not difficult to play at all.
Greens are the highlight
Played Bonita Nat'l for the 2nd time, course is in very good condition with excellent greens. Greens are large and contoured, but usually well guarded and roll very true. Fairways are harder than average, to be expected in a new course. Enjoyed the layout. Staff is very personable and friendly.
Great value
Having opened in January hard to believe the terrific condition of the course. Wide landing areas off the tees; the challenge is the approach shots and the large greens which are still very firm. A lot of construction going on made for some rustic scenery from green to some of the tees, but it is the best value in SW Florida that I have come across. Will definitely return.
Course is in great condition despite construction going on all over the property
this will be one of my favorite courses one day. Was able to play fast and still enjoying lots of wildlife around the (freshly digged) lakes. Greens are in great condition, fairways nice to play and I was lucky to found a great deal. When this is all completed its going to be a great and well liked GC.
Seems to be tricky from the back tees but I played the whites and the water hazards were easier.
There are many distance markers on ground of fairways which I didn't see right away.
This course will be great
Played the course 4 days in a row, had a fabulous experience. Although this is a new course it is in fabulous condition, the fairways are very forgiving, few forced carries into greens, great for the average golfer. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. Although there is a lot of construction it never interfered with my game and this will be a great facility in five years. Would highly recommend this course, outside the construction it is a fantastic golf experience
best new publc or private course in Naples
I have played and or been a member many of the top courses in Naples and Bonita, this course is easily in the top, I am a 7 hdcp and find I fun and challenging. The staff, Mark, Adam, and starter John, are the best!
Benyo12
This a fun course requiring accuracy off the tee and good iron play. Played in just over 4 hours and ranger appeared to keep things moving at a comfortable pace. Yes, there is a lot of construction going on but it minimally affected play. Little steep for a new course. Beneficial to play with someone familiar with the course as there is a lot of hidden water.
Not worth a $139 green fee
Nice layout, hazards are hidden and should be marked with red stakes so that they can be seen at a distance. Several penalty shots incurred because of water hazards not visible from the tee box,
User friendly
Great course considering just opened january. Course in good condition, greens roll true a little firm but overall a great course to plat, user friendly with large fairways and approach shot are fairly open
course in great shape!
Course was in excellent shape....very wide open and golfer friendly.
Construction Zone
Playing this course is like playing in the middle of a construction site. There are heavy machinery on 1/3 of the holes working. I was putting on 4 and a crane swung a subassembly piece of a roof right by us with 15 mph wind. Front end loaders and backhoes were running, honking their horns, and the reverse signal of the machines were constant on every tee box. They have ports-john's as there bathrooms and a construction water jug for there water but with no cups. The course itself is a nice course but you can not even begin to enjoy it let alone concentrate on your shot because so much is going. Everywhere you look to the left to the right in front of you and behind you is a construction zone work site. I was very disappointed in the atmosphere of the course and the amount of money I paid to play a construction zone. I believe they are way over priced and they should not even be open yet. There is not one hole that you play where a crew of workers are not working either to the left of you or right. It was very noisy and distracting. Workers were speaking spanish in my backswing on the tee box more than once. Overall I would say it is way over priced and i would not come back and play the course again for at least another 5 years to give them time to complete the course. I wanted a refund at the end of my round and so did my two partners I was playing with we were very disappointed and wished we never played somewhere else.
TERRIBLE
This course will be a great track one day, however today is not the day. This course is a construction zone not a golf course. I recommend not playing this course unless you are wearing a hard hat.
