NATIONAL??
In my mind if you're going to add "National" to your name the course better be special. This is a vanilla course with no definition and slow greens. The price is at or a little above average. I doubt if I'd play it again
Bonita Fairways = Good Time
Signed up to play at noon and was paired up with some great guys. The course conditions were very good and the greens rolled well for summer time play. Plenty of room to hit it off the tee and multiple tee sets for all golfers. This course provided a good challenge while not being overly difficult for the average player. The par fives were a little on the short side (more fun) and par threes provided nice diversity. I look forward to my next visit.
Bonita National, great wide open fairways.
Friendly fairways, but tough greens. Great condition. A must play
Bring Your Hard Hats and Enjoy the Construction Noise
Greens are concrete hard, bumpy as putting on mulch, unbelievably slow (probably because they looked like they hadn't been mowed in 4 days) and sandy.
Practically a construction zone, some teeboxes you are in danger of almost getting hit with failing debris. The sound of hammering follows you around all day.
One tee box (12 I think) is literally less than 3 feet from being in someone's screen in closure.
Most of the cart path's aren't finished you'll take your life in your hands between green-to-tee quite a few times.
Nothing like the back drop of yet another condo building to frame your approach shots.
Does Lennar have an objection to grass driving ranges on religious grounds? Hope you like only having 3 floating island greens to aim at.
Can't believe they had the course open to paying customers, with the condition of the course it can't be doing the house sales any favors.
the course will be beautiful when the construction is complete.
my back went out after 6 holes,my assessment is based on those holes. The development is in its infancy, alot of dirt, construction, mud around the course. The course itself was wonderful.I did not ask if they would give me a medical rain check as i live 4 hours from the course.
Great Experience
Very few players on the day I played. Breezed through my round. Course was in very good shape. Many tees accommodate multiple skill levels . Excellent, friendly staff. Got very good price on GolfNow.com.
It's Summer...
Great value for summer rate. Greens were punched two weeks ago, so not the best (but you expect that in the summer). Nice fair course, yardage well marked for those not using a GPS. I enjoyed it!
Just another southwest Florida community course
We didn't realize they had punched the greens recently or we may not have played this course. Otherwise the course is in nice shape but lacks character. Nothing unique about it. It's a typical southwest Florida course. I guess it'll be nice when it matures but it sure could use some more trees and more elevations would've been nice. Otherwise it's an ok course, especially at summer rates.
New course
Played during the summer, just after aeration of greens. Course is in good condition and greens were actually puttable. Main problem was course was VERY BORING! Almost every hole had water near the tee which did not come into play, followed by wide landing area, followed by water coming in either on left or right at about 100 yards. Greens with not much break. Good value for $29.00, but during season at $99.00 (if you have coupon for $30.00 off), very over-priced for what you get.
Fun New Course
This course was in great shape considering there was construction of homes going on. It was wide open but will toughen as the trees grow in. Greens were super fast and they are aerating to soften them.
I really enjoyed this course and will definitely play it again.
Bonita natoonal
Nice NEW COURSE. Greens need a little more water but it is summer here. Overall going to be a great playable course when it matures. Great bargain now. Starting on front and back tees early to beat the heat. Thanks for that
Bonita Naional
The course is new so the greens don't hold well.
The fairways were very nice and the layout is fun and beautiful. I rated the course average as the greens had not been punched for a while and putted like concrete.Hard to get the ball close to pin and when you did, greens were not true. They are punching the greens next week and will have a two for one special at hat time. ai will play the course again when management can assure me the greens atr good and true. this will become a fine course.
New
The course is in good condition. But because it is new, the greens run fast but do not hold.
Bonita National Newly Arrived
Brand new course! Greens were hard, but new. Fairways were excellent!. Tee box were excellent. Somewhat challenging from white tees. Would go back, in near future!
Don't Let Name Fool You - Not a National
First time playing this new course.
Here is an honest assessment.
Course is in the middle of nowhere.
Overpriced for the quality of the course.
Greens are thin on grass, bumpy, and hard. Granted new course in SW Florida taken 3 years to soften, but they are like concrete.
Gordon Lewis is the designer. Say no more. The lay out has ZERO character. Typical for this architect who builds courses in the area for high density residential communities.
Forgiving
The course was in overall good shape and real forgiving, wide fairways and not a great deal of water that came into play. The construction work in the area was not a problem but it is everywhere around the course. Not a bad deal for the money.
Nice Tract
Traveling golfer. I will play this course next time I'm in town
Very nice addition to Naple's Golf
The driving range (with real golf balls not floaters) and practice greens are on route to the 1st tee and included in the green fee. We played from the White tees @ approx 6000 yards. The starter gave us some important tips and then circled those spots on our score card. We were very fortunate to have been paired up with a couple that have a home on the course and knew it very well. it certainly made my first round here more enjoyable as most of the water hazards are not visible from the tee box. The greens are FAST and hard to hold but they ran true and I found them consistent through all 18 holes. For a brand new course with 90% of the development under construction the staff here are doing a nice job. They do have a small pro shop open with hot dogs , some sandwiches, beer and soft drinks but it is minimal. When finished this is going to be a very nice facility. i enjoyed it and will play it again.
Great Course...Lots of Potential
Newer course with lots of potential to be one of the better public access courses in the area. Staff was very friendly. Course was in excellent shape. Greens were still coming into form but still rolled true. Will play this course again before the Fall season start.
