Bring Water!!!
Wide open course (no trees to block wind), hot as ___ , few water stops. Only saw beverage cart once. They'll get it right as roads/facilities are completed, course will become good deal although a little out of the way.
Just OK, nothing special
I was hoping for a better lay out. Condition of the course and greens were great. Greens are hard and way too fast. Slight down hill, with a two foot putt swing goes 20 feet. We got a great price from Golfnow with a discount code, so the day was OK.
Nice, fair course.Greens are fast.
Nice fairways. Fast greens. There is contruction all around. Will be very nice when completed.I recommend.
Rock hard fairways
I felt like superman...ball rolled much more than normal, which isn't always good! Course is fun to play if you can put the ball where you want it to go.
Many hazards which aren't visible ...pay attention...greens are the true challenge..have fun..
Play on Sunday only
Great conditions. Lightning fast rock hard greens. Don't play when workers are on site. Massive construction zone. Not just houses but roads as well.
Links golf meets Bonita National!
Saturday morning at Bonita National. Beautiful day. Good company. Decent rates. Links golf . . . Now, I have played on courses similar to the courses you see in England. They have rolling fairways, large greens, bunkers scattered everywhere. All Bonita National needs is the high grass and winds! But, not to make light of the situation, the course was well maintained. Greens were true and quick. Please realize that there is a lot of construction going around the course and even the course is not complete. However, the tee boxes and fairways are set and in great shape. Everything is organized and easy to follow. They do need to plant a coupe of trees strategically to make this an even more challenging course. But the value is good, the course is good and you will find this to be a pleasant playing experience. Just don't look for a clubhouse, restrooms, snack bar or any other amenities you may be used to. Remember there is a lot of construction going on!
Beautiful course in great shap
This place opened in January. The golf course is in really great shape - the greens roll great and they are practically immaculate. Some of the cart paths between holes as well as the course bathrooms/watering holes are not yet finished. On that note, make sure you bring two cups of ice and water because there isn't anything out on the front 9 (they could use an igloo). April has been hot!
Also, there is a lot of construction on the premises. This is a gated community and most of the homes have not been built. There was heavy equipment in motion as we teed off at 7:40 am. If the noise bothers you, you might want to wait a bit for things to settle down.
Peak season if over and the pace of play can't be beat. We never saw the people in front of us. We played the front 9 in an 1 hr 45 min. The whole round took well-under 4 hrs. The course is very pretty. The greens are fast and firm, but not absurd. Good shots will be rewarded, except on certain holes off the tee - make sure you get notes from the starter about the hidden water. (refer to back of score card.) You might lose a couple of shots your first round, but it's not the kick in the pants that Old Corkscrew is.
I will definitely be back. We got $70 rate on golfnow.com
Excellent value in the month of May
My wife and I played BN yesterday. We were paired with another couple. First we enjoyed the driving range which was in excellent condition and included in the green fee. The carts were gasoline powered which was a little unusual but they were fine. I played the course from the 6000 yards white tees and found it moderately difficult. The landing areas were very generous from the white tees, Fairways were in excellent condition. The greens were in nice shape, very undulating and fast. I like fast greens so I putted well. My only complaints are the following. First the course is not set up yet for GPS devises. I had a Bushnell and my wife had a Garmain, niether one worked. What was worse was the lake of yardage markers. So many times I couldn't find the yardage. I couldn't look forever because there were people behind us. If they are not going to add yardage markers they need to install a 150 and 100 yard pole that can been seen from anywhere. My second complaint was a lack of drinking water on the course. Its only in a couple of places but they did have a beverage cart roaming around. I played this course for $46 which was an excellent value considering the in-season rate of $129.
Great Course
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It is brand new but played excellent. I will definitely be coming back. Only reason I gave the price the stats is because I was playing toward the end of season here in swfl and all courses are overpriced currently.
awesome
Greens were a bit hard, but otherwise a great course.
Excellent new course
Our other 2-some pairing was late, so went out as 2 some.. followed an extremely slow 3 some, hitting multiple tees shots, etc..
We expected to play slow, but this group needed to be sped up, however, no ranger. They held up many groups behind us.

New Course
I liked it. it was perfect for an average to above average golfer... played the whites at about 6100 yards. A lot of building going on around the course so a little distracting but that is what you get in a new community. I lick forward to playing it again in the next couple of weeks.
Some sneaky water hazards need better advanced notice. Some big gators, too.
Holes are not especially long, but hazards abound and there is little to alert you the first time you play this relatively new layout.
Definate Must
Brand new course was in excellent condition. Fast greens were a bit firm, but should improve with time. Very smooth and fast, the green complexes were very well designed and very challenging. Nice bunkers, generous landing areas, and a great tee box assortment. There are a couple of hidden hazards if you go through the fairway, so becoming familiar with the layout will help. Challenging from the back tees, the course plays easier from up front. I recommend this course, and will certainly come back.
Still under construction
The Layout of this course is very nice. Due to the fact that the whole area is under construction, the scenery is not that inviting. All the fayrways are in good shape as there are the greens as well. Once the construction are finished, this will be a great golf course.
Nice new course
The course was in generally good shape, fairways and greens were a little firm. This is just due to the newness, and should correct itself in time. Greens ran smooth but a little slow. Played from the blue tee box, for longer hitters the landing area gets tight. Next time I'll play from the back tees. Good overal course
Wioll be excellent when surroundings Finished
Lovely course, but sometimes difficult to find the next tee (plywood spray-painted signs). No ball washers on every tee yet, and water stations on the course have ice, but no cups!
Will be excellent when all the landscaping and homes throughout are finished. Would love to play again, but will wait a year or 2; seems a little expensive for conditions that aren't completed.
Enjoyable, brand new, scorable
Played for second time at Bonita National- Scored 10 strokes better because more familiar with course- played senior tees that takes most of water out of play on drives - greens are enormous but true
NICE NEW COURSE
VERY NICE LAYOUT. NEW COURSE HAD TO TRY .
THE GREENS WERE GREAT..
