Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club

About
Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club is in the heart of some of Arizona's most dramatic Sonoran Desert terrain, you would hardly be able to guess that you're only about an hour from Phoenix. The golf course tumbles across rolling hills, stretching to more than 7,000 yards from the back tees. Each hole provides a different challenge thanks to the fluctuating elevations, which are complemented by strategically placed bunkers. You won't find too many water hazards but you're in for a challenge where it does come into play. One of the most notable water holes is the par-3 13th, which has a massive lake hugging the right side of the green. It's followed by another water hole, a par 5 with ponds on either side. The appeal of the golf course goes beyond the challenging layout, Wickenburg Ranch offers scenic views of Vulture Peak and Prescott National Forest as well as mild temperatures almost year-round.

NICE VIEWS
this place is a must play definitely a bucket list golf course.
Excellent Golf Course
I have played many great golf courses throughout 40 years. This golf course is a great course. Not so difficult you don’t enjoy and beautiful layout in great condition!
Best Course I’ve Played
If I could only play one course for the rest of my life, this would be it. Amazing conditions. Incredible layout. 18 unique and interesting holes. Great views. Great deals available on golfnow. I payed $60.00. Teed off at 2:00. Finished 18 with 5:45 sunset.
Wickenburg Ranch is a Dandy!
Another fabulous round here today......one of my favorite courses in all of AZ!!
Spectacular conditions, did not finish before dark
The course and conditions were up there with the best I’ve ever seen, but only got to play 16 holes in 4.5 hours (at full price) before it got too dark. Waited on every shot. Would expect a semi-private club would have some pace of play enforcement.
Dear u000006818602,
Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with us. We take great pride in our management of the overall experience, inclusive of pace of play, but it appears we missed the mark here. We hope you allow us the opportunity to deliver the standards we're known for. All the best!

Couples outing
We usually try to play Wickenburg Ranch each winter that we visit AZ. Did not play it last year , but did manage to play this December. The course conditions were perfect. Fairways and greens were the best of any course we've played in the valley. One of our favorite courses in the Phoenix area.
Dear DonnRTaylor,
Thanks for your feedback and we're glad that we rank amongst your favorite courses to play. We appreciate your support and look forward to having you back out in the near future.

I used to think I was pretty good.
That is until I played Wickenburg Ranch from the tips. Course was in great shape, pace of play was right at 4 hrs. Staff could not have been more helpful. But those greens. Yikes, stay below the hole. Even when I did that I misread the break. Now I have never been what you call a great putter, but these greens proved that once again. Don’t get me wrong they are fast and true and they hold approach shots amazingly well for how fast they are, but be prepared for a lot of 5 ft putts with a lot of break. It was actually really fun to try to putt on them and figure it all out. I’ll be back.
Dear Thomas9558667,
Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent experience with us. The greens are definitely challenging, and I know you will pick up a few more shots on them during your next visit with us. All the best!

Always a pleasure in the desert!
Big Wick is a beautifully kept course with considerable diversity and challenge. It is unusual in that each side has three par 3 holes, none of which are slam dunks. The greens were absolutely perfect and plenty fast. Yesterday's pin placement made for a good test of putting skill. (that's the nice way to say it)
The AZ Goat
This course, facility, and staff are all truly amazing. Each time I have been to play the Big Wick I am in awe. The golf course is unbelievable and features some of the best holes is all of Arizona! This is a must play golf course. Make sure to plan extra time so you can check out the Lil Wick!
Best Public Course In AZ
In my opinion, this is the best public course in AZ, and I’ve played all courses rated higher than golf digest. It was in impeccable shape and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The greens rolled so true, one can’t blame a missed putt on the green’s condition, but you can certainly make long putts if you read your putt correctly and hit your line. Highly recommend this course.
First time playing for my friend
The course was in great shape. Greens were fast, but putted like silk. I played terrible, but the course was great. I brought out one of my friends who I thought would like the course. He loved it. Kept saying it was his new favorite course.
