Cobblestone Golf Course

This is an excellent public course. Courze is laid out to challenge all levels of golfers. Fairways are in excellent condition. Greens were being top dressed so pretty firm and didn't hold well but that needs to be done. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this course to anyone.

My friend and I played at Cobblestone knowing we probably would get wet before we finished. Got in 13 holes before the bottom the heavens opened up and rain came down in buckets. Played one hole in the downpour and began another when the lightning bolts started striking all around us. That made us give up and head in for the day. We always enjoy playing this course and we’re hopeful we could get a round in before the rain arrived. We would have finished in the rain, but we don’t test the lightning. The course was wet before the rain came, but it was still in great condition. The staff is very friendly and treat you like a special guest. The course is challenging but fair. I love this course.

The conditions were better than one would expect for a public course. Will continue to monitor for "deals" that help offset the 1+hour drive. With some attention to the traps, and some mowing/rolling of the greens, it would compete with some private clubs.

This is a beautiful golf course with many holes having a view of the lake. The course is in great shape, especially the greens and well kept hazards- bunkers. It is very challenging but fair. I couldn’t believe how much the elevation changed on every hole, spectacular! You will definitely want to practice non-flat lies and it was hard to hold green shots from the rough. Outstanding characteristics you would only expect from a private club. I highly recommend! And to top it off, every employee went out of their way to assist me and make sure I was enjoying my experience!

Cobblestone is a great and challenging course. However they constantly allow cart path only which even for accomplished golfers creates a very slow pace of play. Given the course layout. Course was overall dry. Guessing because they had an outing they didn’t want all the carts in the fairways. Not the first time and I am sure not the last.

I’ve played here once before but I went with some friends and it was their first time playing there. Overall we loved it for the price however we noticed that some tee times on the weekends can exceed $60 to even $70. While not bad at all, I feel the $60 tee time at a place like Barnsley is much more worth it (albeit its like an hour away but I still think it’d be more worth it if you don’t mind the drive up there).

Other than that small complaint, everything else about Cobblestone was solid. Greens and fairways rolled nicely, Decent pace of play even on a Saturday, and ample opportunities to buy drinks from the drink cart. Overall If you haven’t played here and you’ve been thinking about it, you should. Good course.

The course was in great shape! Especially considering the amount of play the course gets. Play moved along at about 4:30 pace for 18 holes. The practice putting green is being rebuilt so it is closed until September. The range was open hitting from mats. The greens we’re running a little slow but were in very good condition. The bunkers were all raked and the tee boxes and fairways in good shape. Rangers are a bit much, but I guess you need that much monitoring with a group on just about every hole. I would highly recommend playing cobblestone at this time.

Greens are way too slow. Made a tee time for a twosome and the starter made us pair up with others. If they are not going to let you play a twosome they should not allow you to get a tee time for a twosome. I play this course once and every blue moon and every time I have to keep the cart on the path. This is difficult because a lot of the holes you cannot see your ball from the cart path. A lot of walking back-and-forth.

Greens were horrible today hune 18. Just aerated and sanded. Almost not playable. It will be a week or two before they are normal and playable.

We played 18 today for $38 with aerated greens. Course is nice. Rangers are over zealous. I wouldn’t pay $70 to play here when I could drive up 75 and play Fieldsfor $45. For a course that’s on Lake Acworth, you don’t see the lake much.

Cobblestone is a challenging but beautiful course. Even though the greens were aerated it was in excellent shape. A great public course.
