Cobblestone Golf Course

This remains one of my favorite courses. Beautiful lakeside vistas and a variety of tees to play. Each hole has unique challenges but thankfully there are no blind shots. My playing partners all agreed that the course conditions were exceptional for this time of year.

The course is beautiful and challenging. The fairways are narrow compared to other courses in Atlanta area. Planning on coming back when the grass is greener. Some areas for improvement, greens are little inconsistent, but understandable considering the time of the year; some tee boxes need some work.

Course was very wet dosent drain well.Not recommeded the day after a rain.Very nice course on a dry day. Greens roll very nice.

Greens were good. But course is overpriced. Course should have been closed. Fairways were pools of water. We had to move most all of our shots to elevated dry areas. Very disappointed.

Cobblestone is a beautiful course with a challenging layout. It will require you to hit every shot and club you have. Just as challenging from the front tees to the back.
Great course to walk as most of the ups and downs
are rises as opposed to hills.
Pace of play is always pretty quick - I've never played a 5 hour round - mostly 4 hour or less.
Highly recommend this course .

A friend and I were golfing our way from Michigan to Florida and stopped here to play. We paid our fee but were abruptly and rudely not allowed to tee off at our tee time, but were offered the option of skipping the first couple of holes to catch up with a couple of strangers and play with them as a foursome, or we could move our tee time to 3:30PM, when we were originally scheduled for 1:00PM. As we waited for our tee time, which eventually passed, we watched the foursome ahead of us each tee off 3 or 4 times trying to get a decent ball into play, this made us late for tee off, and for that reason the guy in the teebox with a clipboard refused to let us play. We realized that we were the only women in the whole place, and also realized that this is a "good old boys" course where women are treated as second rate citizens. Rather than promote this type of course, we went back to the clubhouse, had our money refunded and continued on our way to another, more friendly, course called Bowden. I would not recommend this course due to the male chauvinist attitude.

Very interesting layout. I get visitors from out of town a lot, and I like to bring them here, 1) because it's a beautiful course, and 2) if I'm feeling cruel, I will forget to tell them to leave their driver in the car. This is NOT a course for long bombers. Fairways are narrow, and straying out of the fairway is not recommended. One of my favorite courses in the area, though a bit pricey.

Round out there but this time with the new greens. Nice course on the lake.

Nice conditions with solid greens. Worth the trip for the lakeside holes.

Excellent track. The greens really roll true. Very scenic and quite challenging. Greens are fast.

I have been playing Cobblestone for years and I continue to say that the layout of the course is one of the best I have ever played. That being said they continue to suffer from the some of the same problems year after year:
* The tees boxes are in awful shape.
* The greens can be very spotty.
* Although the fairways are overall in pretty good shape, the rough gets worse...lots of dirt patches and overgrown areas.
* Sand traps are inconsistent
I always come away...wishing for more.

I received an email for a discounted rate at Cobblestone over Labor Day weekend so I decided to take a friend who was visiting from up north. The email was actually from a different Cobblestone (in TX) but the staff laughed it off and honored the rate.

This was my 2nd time here and the course was in great conditions both times. The tee boxes were fantastic and the greens, despite being aerated a few weeks before, rolled true. The layout is very challenging and requires thoughtful shotmaking to score well. The lake and trees make for a beautiful backdrop and my friend was very impressed with this course.

Unfortunately the ranger seemed to be on the course only to take in the sights as pace of play was slow. There were several walkers in the groups ahead of us, and that led to a 3 hour 9. (Walking should be discouraged over a holiday weekend!) The back opened up and we zipped through the next 6 hours in an hour.

Great afternoon playing a very well maintained course....one of the nicest courses in the area.

Excellent layout. Love the holes along the lake. Course was in great shape. Clubhouse staff was friendly.
It was our first time on the course and our foursome was a little slow for their 4.25 hour target, but the group behind us only had to wait briefly on us twice; once on the tee of a par 3 and once in the fairway of a difficult par 4. On the 7th hole a marshall told us we were 10-11 minutes behind pace and asked us to play ready golf for a few holes. We assured him we would and speed up. Then he hovered over us on the 8th tee, which really irritated some of the guys and caused them to play worse for a few holes until they cooled off. Another marshall met us after the 8th green and told us we had picked up 3 minutes. Was that really necessary? One of the guys said he won't likely go back because of that experience.

Started out the round in the fog but ended in bright sunshine. Pace was good, course was in great shape. Greens are tough to read and got faster as the round went on. fairways were maintained and bunkers were smooth as I found too many of them.

Course is in great shape. Wish they could bring the fee's down for local golfers (cobb resident). Pricey for me, but had a good round despite the slow pace.

The course was in great shape. fast greens. Will go back.
