Cobblestone
Excellent course layout and well kept from a maintenance perspective. Ranger drove around on course but I never saw him speak to slow groups, which was disappointing. Overall very good course, challenging with narrow well kept fairways and tight greens. Look forward to coming back

Tough, but Beautiful course
I have been itching to play this course since I moved to the Atlanta area 3 years ago and it lived up to the hype. It is a very challenging course, but completely worth every penny. We were paired with a super nice guy who works as a ranger there so we got a some course knowledge tips which was helpful.
They punched greens a month ago and sanded about 2 weeks ago so I would expect that in 2 weeks they will be rolled and in ideal, yet slippery conditions.

The course was pure
First time out playing and will be back. The course was challenging but pure. Greens were firm and fairly quick.

Greens have recovered attitudes haven't
Sand has worked itself in. No GPS. The carts are outfitted for it but no distances.
Salty guy in the clubhouse said it cost 40K to activate the distances. So they canceled.
Well, this is no cheap course and there seems to be plenty of play. What is the point of having GPS on the cart without distances? Most all of the other courses I play have it.
Also just know Rain checks are prorated. Play 5 holes and that's what you get, a discount not a full raincheck. Many other better courses seem to appreciate the business more than Cobblestone.

Greens very Sandy from aeration
Although the started said the greens were in “great shape” I felt like I was putting on freshly aerated greens with a huge layer of sand on them, no aerification alert, paid full price. Also the carts have gps but clearly they need to be recalibrated because they would randomly stop on several occasions throughout the course when I was on the cart path, nor were the yardages being displayed on the screen like they usually are. 3/4 water coolers were empty. Not a great experience.

Beware CPO
This course is very challenging and a great layout. However, if there is any rain they immediately institute cart path only. Problem is that this course is not designed properly for CPO. Should have just walked…put on more mikes walking back and forth from fairway to cart. Complicating things was the staff’s attitude that we were playing too slow by hole #3 and we were a foursome with 2 twosomes behind us. Of course they are going to have to wait! Finally the simple amenities (water in the on course coolers, on course bathrooms, etc) were not maintained. Poor experience for what is supposed to be a premier course that charges premier $. Better values and conditions elsewhere in the area.

Course conditions need improvement
Spent a hot afternoon playing at Cobblestone. Fairly disappointed in the course conditions with most tee boxes under construction and all greens had been plugged recently with a heavy top dressing . There was no mention of the condition of the course and the cost was not in line with the course conditions . The actual layout is good but wound up hitting off the combined blue/black ‘tips’ tees. I didn’t make the experience very appealing as even with a 275?yard drive , I still had considerable carry into a sand laden green . Our foursome agreed that a 2 putt maximum was needed which changed our overall attitude with regard to the course. Also, all the traps had very little sand . We joked the greens had more sand.
We fully the need for course maintenance/ management but the ‘rates’ should be aligned with the course conditions.

Greens under sand
Played on 8/2. Ok except greens had recently been heavily sanded. The GolfNow app doesn’t give you the aerification alert until AFTER you prepay for the round. Not cool. I wouldn’t recommend playing if you care about putting until a couple of weeks.

Very slow
Always very slow and the two groups in front of us never were asked to speed up.
