Kern River Golf
Fantastic challenge of golf and with wonderful scenery recommend this course plus staff are all friendly
Better than Riverlakes
This course is overall better than Riverlakes. Newell kept greens nice sand traps and great fairways! Much more preferred now than Riverlakes.
Kitchen staff was very rude
Would like to see only four players instead of five it's slow as it is with four five makes it even worse
Solid round
Course was great, per usual. The greens were being aerated (?) so putting was a different game altogether, but it was advertised as such, so I can't be too upset. All in all, it was a good experience.
Kern River Golf Course
Fantastic Course wish amazing views of the mountains and lake,
All the Staff were nice and friendly.
The only criticism was the greens were all holed and full of sand because of Maintenance, I will certainly visit this course again
Great day at Kern River Golf Course
The course played it's usual difficult self on many holes including 3, 4, 7, 11, 17. I always enjoy playing Kern River because I love challenging courses/ holes. I will always enjoy and respect Kern River Golf Course.
Great Course & Open to Public
The course overall is in good condition. Tee boxes and greens were well maintained. Fairway had some minor rough spots which is expected this time of year. Pace of play wasn’t great but when weather conditions are ideal like it was, every golfer in town come out to play it seemed. One of the best public courses in Kern County.
Service was Terrible. Golf was OK.
Played in the same afternoon as the Super Bowl and apparently they had a morning tournament. Lady checking us in told us there were no carts available despite being only 30 minutes until we started. She was not at all apologetic and suggested it was OUR fault for playing after noon. I happen to walk back in a few minutes later to purchase a drink and saw she was now handing out cart keys. I asked if I could get a cart and she seemed surprised. In the 30 minutes we waited, one guy teed off and no one ever called the order over the speaker. At our time, we drove up and teed off, then three more groups lined up directly behind us. I've never golfed anywhere where they left a gap like that when you've got so many groups ready to go. On the course, it turns out they didn't bother to open the snack bar so could get a cold drink while you played (didn't tell us so we could stock up before we left). Mind you, it was one of the warmest days of the year so far. When we stopped at the turn to get a cold drink, the young gal working the register acted like we were bothering her. Oh yeah, they changed the ninth hole so that two large palm trees are now directly in the way of your shot. It's a par 3, for crying out loud. You think we can all Bubba that ball around a tree in 150 yards? We will not be going back anytime soon.
Wallys veiw
