Pleasantly Surprised
The greens were a little slow but other than that it was a pretty nice course.
Hard Ground, challenging for new golfer
Fair executive course. Would not recommend for new golfers or those with a driving distance of lower than 150 yards due to hazards and needing to go over watershed that goes through the middle of some holes. Course is not well maintained. Very compacted earth. Cheap, but probably wouldn’t be back.
Cozy course
This is a nice course tucked into a quiet neighborhood. Lots of wildlife centered around the creek which is part of almost every hole.
The course offers challenges with the creek and sometimes different wind patterns. Tee boxes can get a little rough at times.
They need to fund a way to make it feel more like a community in the club house. Most people just play and leave.
Good Course for New Golfers
Brea is a decent course and affordable. Round moves fairly well but beginning golfers do slow it down which is OK, we all had to learn. The bad part is that they haven't been taught golf etiquette which results in lots of poor golf maintenance. Therefore, be prepared for greens with unpaired ball marks.
Brea Creek Oct 17
I needed a short course to go out for first time post surgery and Brea Creek was enough to find out how I would stand up. Overall course is in good shape for end of summer in So Cal. Greens had been punched within the week, but I was informed of this at point of booking, so can't complain of being surprised at their condition.
If you want to walk a quick nine, this is a good place to do it!
Fairways and Greens OUCH!
Good course in a pinch. Needs major repair and greens keeper attention.
Challenging 9 Hole
I was surprised by the challenging holes at this course. Centered around the creek, your gonna need to hit it straight. The greens were very well manicured and kept as well as any course I've played. Thanks for a great round!
Deceptive Par 29
Think it's easy to male assumptions about Brea Creek if you're a first timer. Tough pin locations and surprisingly complex greens. Creek in play most of the round, course favorites are 4, 6, and 8. Have fun, better have your chipping and putting on point
Sneak in a round
If your looking to shoot a round and don't have a lot of time, this is the course. Gres are well kept and truthfuly, fairway is better some some of the expensive courses in the area.
Oldie but goodie
I've been playing here for maybe a decade , I'd say once every 3 months, problem with this course is during the summer it dries out and becomes super hard so expect no love from the greens or fairways .
Do not expect to play 9 holes in under 2 hours it always seems to back up around hole3 this is the first of 2 that are over 300 yards , overall there are some tough but fun holes but I'd recommend playing there in the spring
Fun course
Good value for the money. Would play here again
Excellent for the beginner
This may be biased because I shot the best round of my life here.
Course is very easy, great confidence builder. Greens are not flat, so puts are decently challenging. Most 3's are reachable by iron, many greens protected by bunkers, but most bunkers are shallow and easy to get out of.
Even though this is a very short 9, it is a gem. I will definitely play here again, and again.
