Challenge golf course
So far happy to golfing at Brentwood golf club.
Sometimes pace very slow, others ok.
The golf cart is fixed by automatically controll that make me walk to play a lot. But.....
At this courses, I do golfing as hobby and walking as exercise so that I have all, feel good 😅 !

Very Poor Condition - bad layout
Brentwood should just shut the course down for 6 months and fix everything. Many areas are under repair, a lot of unmaintained spots, no sand in any bunkers, and they ruined the course by selling a portion of land and then having to create a new hole with a green the size a ping pong table. It's ridiculous. They had more space they could of made that tiny green much bigger. I do not recommend this course.

I've seen it in much better condition
I've played here at least 30 times, but not since the pandemic. It was historically in much better shape, faster play, and a great bargain.
This time, we were behind at least 3 slow groups, but that is not their fault. The fairways and greens were very firm, but there was a lot of sand around the white tee boxes and green collars. The traps have never been good, but there were several traps which had zero sand. They looked like a motocross track.
Since my last round, they also closed 2 holes and squeezed in a couple shorter holes with temporary greens. It will be awhile before I return, but I will return some day.

Fun to golfing
If was good layout course and very challenging.
The course is too 🍃 leafy can't find a ball.
The golf cart too much auto-control , mostly I walked to play in each hole without the cart.
Overall, I enjoyed to golfing this ⛳️ golf course!!

This course is in poor condition.
The course is in very poor condition and they are charging an unrealistic price for the condition of the golf course. They changed holes, not sure the reason because the changes do not make sense to make the course better. The 14th hole has a new green which is worse than a temporary green. It is about a third the side of the average green out there and is more like they just cut it into the fairway. Very poor attempt and the bunkers on the course are unplayable. They do minimum work on the course to keep it playable. It is really not good for anything but a practice round of golf.

Crazy change
Everybody knows what this course is like, the good and the bad, seems like they're trying but never make any headway, but what are you gonna do.
Now, they've permanently closed one par 3 on the front nine, and opened another on the back nine, no problem with that, probably selling some land.
The problem is that the new par 3 got the green from the par 5 15th, and the new green for the 15th is literally 10 yards by 30 yards, or 900 square feet. The usga maintains that the minimum SF is 5000. Why would Rex do this? It's incredibly small and hard to play. We must have offended him. Hopefully this course survives shadow lakes reopening, played many great rounds here, caught many bass in the the ponds, but they need to step it up soon.

Pace of play
3 hr first 9 unacceptable
Course Marshall showed no interest in enforcing. he was just out there along for the ride. Walked off on 13th after 4 1/2 hrs. Will not be back and will not recommend.

Poor condition
Lady in the pro shop was very nice. Golf cart bench seat was all ripped up. Tee boxes, fairways, sand traps and greens were in the worst condition I’ve ever seen. The track itself was pretty good but it was in such horrible condition.

Never Again
Course has gone from a decent 18 to probably one of the saddest courses in the east bay. The carts looked like they were 20 years old. The one we had was pathetic. Seats were ripped with no windshield. And died out on the 16th hole T boxes were pathetic fairways were basicly weeds, greens if you can call them
greens we’re all filled with fungus of some sort. The course was chopped up to make room for development of some sort. The course is also an eyesore. Our group played there regularly but will never return after this last round.

Changes at Brentwood
They have made some crazy changes on the back 9that made what was once a decent course a joke. I have played the course many times over the years but now will only play as a last resort. Ah and to top it off the group in front of us was a group of 8.

Not fair to judge the course play due to ongoing renovations, hole changes and repairs. All indications point to an awsome future for this course once the upgrade is done. Will wait to see how it affects the fees.

Tee boxes were terrible!! Fairways were wet, soggy and it needed mowing!! Greens need attention asap!!They might want to lower the price!!
