Friendly staff, and course in decent condition! Shout out to the cart woman, she was great!
I've played Brentwood GC several times, and the quality of the course has varied heavily. 3 years ago I played for my 40th birthday and swore I would never play here again. Because of all of the rain the course is in decent shape. Staff brings this from a 3 to a 4. NEED TO IMPROVE THE TRAP QUALITY!!!!!! Right now it's a crater of dirt and rock. Important to have quality sand.

Good day playing creekside 9 and hillside 9
Played a early round at Brentwood GC before heading to a party in the afternoon. Our tee time was delayed around 20 minutes but the pace was good once started to play. Greens are smooth, some are hard to read. Fairways are in good condition but some are too close to resident's house, make me nervous to play those tee shots. There are lots water hazards, which will put one's distance and direction accuracy in test.
The big downside is no practice area to warm up. Playing the first hole in code is tough.

Not Getting Value for the Price
This course charges you as if is a destination course, and now even has a dress code. But the lack of any practice facilities, beat up fairways, weeds everywhere, and the sorry excuse they call sand traps, makes this more of a run down muni that has long seen its best days. One can only hope current ownership sells to someone who knows how to run and maintain a golf course.

The course was in great shape and very challenging around the water holes! The pace of play was perfect & Bob (in the Pro Shop) was very helpful!

Underplayed Gem
This course has a great layout. Challenging with length of holes, water, bunkers, etc. As good as any other courses in the Bay Area, should be getting much more play. Bunkers slowly being restored post Covid, but course is in good shape.

Aerated greens are still slow
When our twosome arrived, a 4some on the tee box let us go through. We finished that hole and never saw them again! What a great way to start a round of golf on a perfect weather day!

Punched greens
No notice of plugged & sanded greens.Was notified after checking in.Called course prior to playing and even asked about greens and was told they were not plugged.No excuse for not being truthful.
More than a few dead spots in fairway. Bunkers are a disgrace

Where is the Sand
I have always enjoyed this layout and it does appear they are taking better care of it except for the sand traps. Most are full of dirt and rocks and nooo sand. So bad we decided not to play out of almost every one of the bunkers. Also there were a few holes on course that could have been designated ground under repair as all grass was gone. Do not expect to find a driving range there isn’t one just two stalls with uneven worn out mats to hit off. Would be nice if they at least level them ball kept rolling off when I put it down to hit.

Idk what’s going on there but it needs to stop.
No driving range, no practice putting green or chipping green. I’ve been to this course a few times over the last 5 years. This was my first time in about 2 years. The course conditions were absolutely terrible. Saw the cart-person once. Staff was super friendly thought. From the pro-shop to the grounds keepers; they were all wonderful.

Potentiel trouble
Pace was great. Rougjh was tool penal. No sand in most bunkets & not aytended to in days. Greens were okay, but will suffer soon if not punch & sanded. Tees were bad & long.
I won'y pay full price for this course which usr to be the "jewel" of east countyfrom 2000 to 2007!
