Great Muni
Great course with unique holes. Very fun. Worth the money for sure.
Very pretty.
Had to stay on cart path due to rain. No problem. Nice course. Had scuba people in the lake getting balls. People let you play thru. Staff nice.

T Box horrible
They are currently making repair on some t boxes. Should be good after-not sure how fast they could do it. But Overall the course is in great shape.

It just never gets better
Haven`t played here in a few years, the last time here I payed 20 bucks and still felt ripped off! Decided to retry it, and what do you know, it`s worse!! Ground squirrels have completly taken over everywhere! the sand traps are nothing but mud, the golf carts have gps and will not let you get to most of this disaster, they even have cart path only holes, I presume so you dont disturb the squirrels! save your money and play elsewhere

Downhill spiral
I have played this course since the early 1990s when they had an executive 9 hole, driving and putting range along with three 9 hole courses that made up the club. Since shutting down the executive 9, where the high density apartments have been built, this club has spiraled downward. The staff is still friendly and apologetic for the conditions, but they can only do so much when the course has been overrun with rodents and poor course management. Drainage is a problem and the sand/ mud traps are unplayable. and the surrounding landscape for the somerset homes is something less than desrireable. We spoke to one homeowner who expressed her dismay at the overall state of disrepair the facility and course(s) are in. By this time next year, with the drought conditions continuing, we will lose another course in East County, which at one time had some jewels of courses to choose from. 9 hole courses will dominate the sport and walking should be encouraged for those that are able.

Cart path only
Start, cart guy cool, clubhouse guy needs help, tee boxes crap , always muddy,,carts on half course only, sand traps dirt, other than that it was sunny out

Greens are in trouble
I have played this course 3x in the last 3 weeks. There are half the greens that are on the verge of being un-playable. The tees, bunkers & fairways NEEF HELP IMMEADIATELY! SOME Fairways are dry & othets are sopping wer. This says that the watering system needs to be addtessed! Bunkers are not groomed & so players are not doing their job rakinging them
Some bunkers, mostly fairway bunkets, hVe little or no sand. This is no more tham a $25 golf coursr with a cart!!

Needs Improvement for price
I do feel this good be a great course if it was more put together but tee boxes are always full of holes and unmaintained.. the greens need to be cleaned sand always on it makes for bouncy and unreadable putt. Certain parts of the course are flooded causing unnecessary hazards such as mud pitts and ground lift.

Good layout, poor condition
This course is one of my favorite layouts in the area. However the condition of the course is not good at all. All of the fairway bunkers are unkept and are just dirt and rocks. If they are too expensive to keep up, they should be removed and made into grass bunkers or something which can be played out of without damaging your clubs. The greens are in good condition but are usually really soft and players don't fix the damage done by their golf balls. The fairways and tee boxes need to be mowed more often. It is like playing out of the rough most of the time.

Conditions worstening
Tees, fairways, bunkers & about five greens need more investments of money & man power.

Brentwood GC
Since this is my home course it is hard to criticize, but here it goes. The course is challenging especially from back tees and has a good layout. However, there is neither a clubhouse at the turn for drinks/snack nor restroom after 10. There is a restroom after 4, but nothing after 10. The concession cart hasn’t been seen in quite a few rounds now and I play weekly during the week. Maybe the cart is present on weekends so I can’t reference that.
The course is in great shape compared to the closest course available.

Needs Attention
Had a Golf Now tee time & showed up early. The clubhouse gentleman was in-different towards me when I asked who I was paired with. He said my cart # was 17 & told me where the 1st tee was, which I kn we w a couple hindred times before. I went around the corner & met 2 gentlemen who agreed to let me join them. The coursecwas filled with fivesomes & it was slow! The greens were ok, but the fairways, tees & bunkers were not up to surrounding coutses. Probably won't return for a long time.

Less for more
I gave it an average rating. In my experience, they could do more than what was offered for what I had to pay. $50+ via golfnow app and another $50+ when I got to the course. Fairways are browning, greens are not consistant, pace was horrible, and no beer cart person on the course. There is no area for food/drink at the turn. Plan ahead or suck it up.
