Bad shape extremely overpriced for condition.
The coarse is in horrible shape. The fairways are nothing but weeds and mud patches. There’s no sand in bunkers the greens are patchy. This is by far the worst coarse I’ve ever played on. Price is way too much there charging at least triple what they should. I’ll be very surprised if there open another year which is sad because I live in Brentwood and this is the last coarse open. NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT.

Poor condition
The course is in very poor condition. That coupled with inaccessibility for carts made me decide to not return. Unless there were improvements

Poor Condition
First time playing here in twenty years.. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The condition of the course was poor. The fairways were often wet and muddy - no carts allowed. The roughs were overgrown. If I hit into a rough it was impossible to find my ball. I doubt that I'll return.

Grand theft
Until the owners or managers of this golf course decide to properly maintain it , they should close it. All the construction going on adjacent to the course has obviously had an effect and will until completion. I would call the course a dog patch but that would be an insult to dog patches. I have played this course many times in the past but I will never return.

Long Time Gone
5.5 hour pace is too long for amateur play. Especially paying 50% more year over year.

not much fun
When I arrived I went to the pro shop to check in. A man ( I assume was the Gen. Mgr ). was berating another employee at the front desk. They did not acknowledge my presence for at least 5 minutes. It was disgraceful how the GM spoke to the employee. I can see why this golf course is in the horrible shape it is in with a boss like him. In addition - the course was a disaster - fairways unmowed and mud puddles everywhere. - and the cart system made the day even more unpleasant. We will never play here again.

Greens are Receptive!
Shoot for the pin! Everything was in very good shape but the greens were great. Soft and forgiving. Took a couple o holes to figure out how to approach but after that it was a treat. Overall the course was in great shape!

Not were the price
The greens are the only good thing about this course. Tee boxes are jankie, uneven. The fairways are in terrible shape and if you make one wrong turn your cart shuts down.

I Paid through GolfNow and they charged me $5.00 for use of cart.
I played the Diablo course. Fairways not mowed and wet.

Cart Path Only on 7 Holes?
I will not play it again until they open up the carts. you are cart path only on 7 holes. and the GPS will shut you down if it thinks you are in the rough. I say thinks, because it did it three times in the fairway.

Depressing
I used to play this course regularly about 12 years ago when I played for a local highschool team. Back then the course was in good shape and I enjoyed playing. I was shocked to return and see the current state of the course. Ponds with no water, bunkers with dirt and no sand, bathrooms with toilets ripped out and sitting in plain view. I had to remove my ball from bunkers because there were large roots that would cause serious injury...maybe i was lucky that there was no sand there so I could see them. The staff was friendly but at the end of the day I will never return here due to the sad state of the course. I think grounds keepers and staff are doing what they can, but it seems obvious that the owners of this course are putting ZERO money into it, the grass needs resodding/ seeding. This was also a 90 degree day and there is no ability to purchase drinks or water during or at the first 9 holes, the course doesnt circle back to the clubhouse so you are in the middle of nowhere with no access to water. Seems like a great way for the course to make money and maybe make some improvements to the course. The group ahead of us asked our group if we had water! Im sorry if this review is a bit scattered, there was a lot to cover.
