Ever Improving
New owner had his work cut out for him! Lots of everything going into course. A lot of locals have written this place of because past conditions. Can’t remember the last time I seen mow strips until now. Come spring, this place will be worth the value to cost. Good job Rex and staff
Decent Course
Nice people and decent course but slow play and some greens were in sub-par condition. Not terrible for the money you pay through the app on a hot deal.

I BEEN PLAYING GOLF AT BRENTWOOD GOLF CLUB FOR A WHILE.
AND LET ME TELL YOU, THE OWNER HAVE INVESTED LOTS OF MONEY
ON THE COURSE AND IT PAID OFF. THE GOLF COURSE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION:
TEE BOXES ARE GREAT / THE FAIRWAYS ARE BEAUTIFUL / SAND BUNKERS ARE GOOD

GPS Lock on carts
So course is OK. Would have considered playing here again except for the bad experience we had throughout the round with the golf carts and GPS imposed shutdown of the carts when in a “restricted area” on the course. Happened several times while on fairway or driving from one hole to next tee box. VERY frustrating and negative experience. I understand if the course is trying to keep people out of certain areas of if the course has had several golf cart thefts but the inaccuracies and malfunctions of the GOS shutdown feature on the carts really made the round frustrating.

Brentwood Golf Club GPS Carts
Course was in fair condition, but the new GPS Carts are a joke.
The strict limits for accessing the fairways are ridiculous and should be reset to allow access to the entire fairways.
Many times the carts would stop on the cart paths before accessing the fairways for unknown reasons.
I would not recommend anyone to play here unless the carts are allowed full access to the fairways.

Brentwood golf club
Greens were pretty true and decent speed this time of year. Tee boxes recently seeded and starting to look good. Fairways were pretty patchy and collars on green were beat up. Sand traps are a disaster. Play course as winter rules and it can be a fun round.

Course undergoing some upgrades
Course has a fairly engaging and challenging layout, but for the money I’d wait for a Golfnow hot deal. It’s hard to believe just how poor the general maintenance of Bay Area courses has become. This course was no different, spotty fairways, unleveled tees, inconsistent green speeds. If a goat track had these three things, I’d pay whatever to play it. Apparently, daily fee courses have become synonymous with these attributes.

Great course for the money
GolfNow needs to stop offering reservations in the 9 hole with a cart. The course is walking only on the 9 hole. Hopefully someone reads this and fixes this issue. Great course overall though.
The 9 hole course (Diablo) isn't walking only. Maybe you caught it on a day when they didn't have enough carts?

dont know what the owners problem is but he's come up with his own rules regarding the course. Dont like new rule about restricted golf cart access and not allowed in the parking lot. Probably wont be coming back too soon.

Course is starting to show real signs of a comeback!!
This course has had several ups and downs in the past 5-6 years. I've seen it go from incredibly maintained to a non-existent attitude towards mowing, fixing sand traps, etc.
I have to say, this course is really starting to make a comeback. With Deer Ridge, Shadow & Roddy all gone within the past 5 years, I've been playing Brentwood a lot the past few years. Seeing the course get worse and worse. About 6 months ago I was told by staff that the course was really focusing in on fixing fairways/traps/tee boxes and trying to restore the integrity back to it's glory days.
For a while now, they have roped off(making them cart path only) a few holes (1 & 5) trying to bring back the fairways. It has really helped. Although it's understood this kind of plan takes time, it really is starting to show and I'm impressed.
I will keep coming back with the hopes that the course keeps up the promise of doing there job for golfers around the east bay. This is promising and I just wanted to say thanks to those putting in the effort of planning and execution!!

Average layout, blotchy fairway and teebox
Not bad for the price of $40 includes single cart. Speed of play excellent because no one is on the course. The blotchy fairways and tee boxes plus a long drive from San Francisco may be the reason. In all fairness, the greens were in very good shape and $40 for green fee plus single cart is a good deal...
