The mountain nine has gorgeous views of massanutten peak.
Another great golf outing
This course never disappoints. It is always in good shape and a joy to play. I try to play at this course at least twice a month. I highly recommend it to any golfer.

Visiting from Florida
The course is very different to what I am used to at home.
The greens were mostly in good condition
The fairways need some TLC
The tee boxes were mostly in need of work.
This course was nice to play and good value when compared to our resort course, However, the grass on the fairways was a little long in places and it was difficult to find a good stance on some of the tees.

Disappointing
I have been playing here for years, and with all their new additions this year, I was seriously considering joining as a member. Still, the course has so much mismanagement and cannot get their crap together. The food is horrible unless their main cook is there (some tall guy), and the GM is completely unhelpful and condescending (sometimes flat out ignoring me when I have tried talking to him). Often times I have had questions or concerns, and the only people who seem to care are some of the younger guys working the counter. Bunkers are flat out unplayable. Way too many places of ground under repair. Very obviously short staffed and lack of competent management. Sadly, this course seems to be on its last legs.

Lakeview golf course in Harrisburg, VA
Nice course but we were required to play the same 9 holes twice due to a senior tournament which was not revealed to us. The staff was nice to us and apologized for having to play the same 9 twice. We blame GolfNow for not knowing what was awaiting us via the Hot Deal.

GREAT COURSE, EXCELLENT VALUE!
Played this course for the first time in the dead middle of a heat wave (got up to 98* that day). First of all, arriving there I noticed the course was very green and lush, especially being mid-July and HOT. Course condition I'd rate 8.5 out of 10 (compared to similar price-ranges). All of the greens were in very good shape, except the 1-2 odd greens on the 18 holes we played (there are 3 9-hole courses). Tee boxes, fairways, even rough was all in great shape. The driving range was okay, although the balls werent very good (not a big deal, just getting warmed up) and they had mats vs real grass...however the mats were some of the better ones I've hit off of. Nice little chipping/putting green to get the feel of the speed. Clubhouse was good with a bar/grill with some great food (definitely recommend those fries after a round). All in all, GREAT course, not too easy, not too difficult, but at the price I paid it was DEFINITELY an outstanding value and my playing partner and I were very pleased. Would recommend and will be playing here again.

Course needs work
Some greens have bare spots, tee boxes in poor shape. Faiways are ok most places

Low humidity, low score
Secenic mountain course. Friendly staff. Greens are in poor shape. People need to fix their marks. NO water coolers on the course was a disappointment.

Best around!
I consider this my home course. It is the best ,in my opinion, in the area. Good variety of holes , very senic. Good conditioning almost all of the time. Many players staying at a nearby resort end up playing here. 27 holes now (used to be 36) means lots of room. Hope they can keep it up!

Great Course
First let me say I’m a first year golfer at 71 years old so I don’t have a lot of experience to base my review on. I played the Mt View 9 & the Lakeview 9. I found both to be pretty challenging for my very limited golf skills. I told the staff members that I was a new golfer and they could not have been nicer to me in explaining everything & making me feel welcome.
I highly recommended Lakeview and will be going back soon I hope.

A top quality course.
Lakeview is a favorite course. Friendly staff, great smelling grill, beautiful course, and 27 holes to use. We loved the Lakeview front 9 followed by the Mountain 9. Totally, excellent.
