Date Palm Country Club
About
Nestled in Coachella Valley, Date Palm Country Club sits at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges, providing nearly every hole on the golf course with a stunning view. The course is the centerpiece of a popular retirement community near Palm Springs, a location that enjoys nice weather year-round and is just 20 minutes from shopping, dining, and museums. The layout is on the shorter side, but it still has some challenging holes. The golf course demands accuracy with every contour of the rolling terrain and you'll be put to the test even further when maneuvering the small greens and narrow fairways. The bunkering is minimal but strategic at Date Palm C.C., and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. In addition to the golf course, there is a practice putting green.

My tee shot on the second hole. It was nice to get a birdie early. Photo submitted by Napawillie on 03/30/2015
Waa fun
The golf course is pretty easy. They keep it well maintained. Big Trees all over the course provided challenge for some holes. They also provide fantastic shade
The course was nice and staff very friendly. However, I had not checked the distance, so we were disappointed that it was so short. With that being said, it is a great course if one is working on their short game or is a beginner
Short game work
Nice little layout that will challenge your iron game, pitching and putting. Greens are fairly flat, but have little hard to read breaks.
Fun little course. The par 4's are very short, driveable for many, but narrow.
A great experience
Super friendly and accommodating front desk staff, who had been dealing with a power outage for the entire day. Perfect course for keeping your irons sharp (couple of tricky water holes); with a few par 4s, a couple of which were long enough to pull out the driver. All in all, a very fun outing. Give it a try!
Great Course for Short Game
This course is lush, green and can be challenging with narrow fairways and water holes. The greens are slow which is very different from most of the courses down here but once you are aware of that it's fine. If you want to practice your short game & shots into the green this course is perfect for that though it mixes it up with a few Par 4's sprinkled into the mix of Par 3's. Better than a driving range for working on all aspects of your game.
Great course for your short game
Enjoyed the course, nice layout and great for your short game. Good pace of play, done in 2 1/5 hours. Course was in very nice condition, well looked after.
Great venue
Relaxing 18 hole, well maintained with s few challenges
Nice Little Gem
This was a fun course for practicing our short game. The greens and fairways were well kept and it was a pleasure to be there. The fairways are narrow and lined by manufactured homes that show a great deal of pride in ownership. One must be careful to hit the ball straight, so as not to damage someones home. It would also be nice if there were restrooms open to the public besides the club house. All in all, this course was enjoyable.
Great little Course
Wonderful day..course in good shape.. need to better signage for 10th hole. Luckily other golfers had played before and showed us the way!
great pace play
The course was great for working on short game and consistent greens.
Date Palm nothing special
Staff was not real welcoming, some confusion on starting. Restaurant by the pro shop has some great sandwiches. Probably won't go back. Greens were horribly slow..
Good course for couples
We played this course with another couple. It was their first round of the year. This was a perfect course for all of us. You are not going to use your driver but you can practice the most important part of the game.
