Date Palm Country Club
About
Nestled in Coachella Valley, Date Palm Country Club sits at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges, providing nearly every hole on the golf course with a stunning view. The course is the centerpiece of a popular retirement community near Palm Springs, a location that enjoys nice weather year-round and is just 20 minutes from shopping, dining, and museums. The layout is on the shorter side, but it still has some challenging holes. The golf course demands accuracy with every contour of the rolling terrain and you'll be put to the test even further when maneuvering the small greens and narrow fairways. The bunkering is minimal but strategic at Date Palm C.C., and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. In addition to the golf course, there is a practice putting green.

My tee shot on the second hole. It was nice to get a birdie early. Photo submitted by Napawillie on 03/30/2015
Nice course
Overall a nice course, can complete in good time. Few water and sand challenges.
Hidden little gem
We were pleasantly surprised by this executive course. Based on reviews, we were not sure what to expect. However, we had a great time! The course was well maintained and the greens were straight and fast. Lots of beginners here and a friendly helpful staff. Great little restaurant too!
Fun
My wife especially liked this course. We will make it a permanent stop on our annual visit to Palm springs
Tidy little course
If you need work on your short game, or want to play with "newbies" (or maybe your wife), this is the course for you.
Course was in very respectable shape and has some challenging holes.
Definitely worth the money. Don't forget to checkout AJ's on the Green restaurant after your round. Award winning cuisine and very nice.
Great course to play your short game. Limited water and traps.
Just a word to GOLF NOW about booking . This year the prices on line are very confusing and out of line. Why are there walking and riding options listed and at different prices. Prices on line are 10 to 15$ more than at the club house.
Price at clubhouse after 2 p.m. is 25$, on line the prices are 35$ and 40$ plus 2.95$ tax and fees. What's going on here?
Good executive course
We enjoyed the course and variety of holes. Friendly staff.
accuracy needer
Walked the course, enjoyed the walk, trees are getting to big for the available space, may have enjoyed more if I was more accurate, not likely to return.
Average short course
My wife and I played this course for the first time. I was amazed that it was virtually empty considering it was a Saturday morning (not a good sign). The course turned out to be ok and we enjoyed it, but not sure if we will play it again or not. It is pretty tight, winding between a community of modular homes and there are several old trees hanging over the fairways (which can be a problem if you hit a high tee shot). Glad we got a hot deal rate on Golf Now - not sure I would have wanted to pay full price for this one.
Thanks friendly golfer
We were told by the guy at the front desk we would not get on till 9:20am even though our time was 9:06. (Even though 2 ladies went off before us,) we could have join them. He told us there is a group of 12 before us and the locals most probably run right over us, but thank you to a great guy who was obvious a golfer saw us waiting and ask us to start before them the group of 12.
They were excellent, joking and having a great time.
We had an excellent time on this well maintained little golf course that we selected by mistake the first time. We enjoyed it so came back. We have not played for 3 months, so wanted to polish up before tackling the bigger courses.
I would recommend this course as there is no pressure except homes close by, so have to be cautious and not wild.
Thank you, you run a well maintained course.
nice scenery
Nice Executive course with a couple of par 4s, some challenging holes and in good condition. The staff are friendly. The only draw back are the park models coming into play on numerous holes.
A great day of golf.
The course was in very good condition. The greens were a bit slow.
Nice little short course
Came here to work on my short game. I would play here again for the same price, wouldn't pay more than 20$.
Great if you have only 2 1/2 hours
Good executive course if you want to play 18 holes, but haven't got 4 to 5 hours.
Enough water and bunkers to keep you honest.
Nice short executive course has nice shade trees
We were paired up with another couple and found the course in very good condition. Very good value for our money. A cart was included in price.
This is an executive course
Nice, short executive course, would have not chosen if I had known. Greens pretty slow and rough.
1st time playing DPCC
Not bad for executive course, guy in pro shop had foul language according to the guy I paired up with. Not very professional for 1st impression.
Good value
Played 18 holes for 10 dollars, greens are slow, but it's an overall fun course. Played a round in 2 hrs.
Pleasent course
We have played here before and this last time was in hot weather so we had the course to ourselves which made for a fast easy round of 18 holes
They keep the course in good condition and the holes are not always as easy as you think.
I would refer friends to this course if you want a fun round that's not too hard that wends its way through mobile homes with plenty of large shade trees.
