Date Palm Country Club
About
Nestled in Coachella Valley, Date Palm Country Club sits at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges, providing nearly every hole on the golf course with a stunning view. The course is the centerpiece of a popular retirement community near Palm Springs, a location that enjoys nice weather year-round and is just 20 minutes from shopping, dining, and museums. The layout is on the shorter side, but it still has some challenging holes. The golf course demands accuracy with every contour of the rolling terrain and you'll be put to the test even further when maneuvering the small greens and narrow fairways. The bunkering is minimal but strategic at Date Palm C.C., and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. In addition to the golf course, there is a practice putting green.

fun
Very good course with great music playing on the deck
Good course for your short game
We. Booked a Sunday special for $25/18 holes and thought it was a great price. for this course. It is good for working on your short game and for beginning golfers. The course is quite pretty and very well maintained. The signage for the pro shop could be better. We thought we would be quicker, but some very slow play on the first nine meant we took almost 4 hours to play. Lovely morning!
GolfNow price is value-added!
Water hazards are murky with dead bird in green sludge on #16. Otherwise fairways and greens are well groomed and cared-for. Greens are subtly undulating.
Very friendly course
This is a pretty, well-maintained course with friendly and helpful staff. Although it is a short (par 3) course, several of the holes are tricky, with well-placed water hazards. We went late in the day so the pace was good, and we enjoyed the experience.
Wonderful experience
A gem in the desert. Enjoyed the experience and will be back for more games and to experience the AJ's. Play was a little slow but we were only a twosome where as most others were foursomes. Really enjoyed.
good time
Was joined by a very nice couple who played the course before. If it wasn't for golfnow, it would have been a little to much money for this course.
A great short course, if played well will elevate your skill level
This is a very fine course that has challenge but yet forgiving. You can really enjoy the ambiance of trees shading the course and in play as well
Challenging course, greens very slow
Course is challenging. Greens in great shape, but VERY slow.
I like Date Palm Alot.
I like playing at Date Palm, when ever I play golf.IF thats not enough ,Im sorry
Great short game course
There are a couple of really challenging holes with high trees on both sides of a tight fairway, if you don't hit a straight drive, you can be looking at bogie very easily . I ve played it 6 times now, and I ll be back,
Very nice
Good course- My wife really enjoyed it, she even got a few pars.
Very nice lady at the pro shop.
Nice course.
Well maintained, interesting course for great price
Enjoyed playing here. Great practice for short game.
A Pleasant Escape
My wife and I enjoy playing this course whenever we come to the valley. Enough water and trees to make us mumble without taking it to extreme.
Great for short game
Brought our neighbors who are up in age and they found the course very user friendly.
challenging executive course
My wife and I played on a Sunday and the course was almost empty, so the pace of play was excellent. Some of the par three are all carry across water which makes club selection critical. We had a wonderful breakfast in the restaurant before our round. A great day.
Great experence
wonderful day, great bar service and fabulous
food. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE..VERY WELCOMING..NICE PEOPLE ..BEST GOLFING EXPERIENCE ..
Nice course but overbooked.
We had a 12:03 tee time along with 6 other people. The time ahead of us was also overbooked. We had to wait 40min. to start play. So pace of play was very slow. It was getting dark by the time we finished. The course was in excellent condition.
Old Course with Lots of Trees
Played the last week before they close for re-seeding.
A Good Short Game Challenge
Playing Date Palm CC brought back a bit of nostalgia for the old style courses of my youth. Lots of large old trees in the fairways, some tight fairway and tee shots requiring shaping shots or at least hitting to certain areas of the green. NO railroad ties, buried elephants, or 440 yd par 4's here. A very relaxing round and a good test for your short game and tee shot accuracy .
Course was in pretty good shape for this time of year . Greens ran a little slower than they looked
Easy Greens
Greens were relatively flat, minimal break, true rolls, and only one green had a small tier. Older course amongst mobile home community with mature trees which provide SHADE during the hot weather. So at sitting in the shade with slow play. Good course to take a beginner or grandpa
