Date Palm Country Club
About
Nestled in Coachella Valley, Date Palm Country Club sits at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges, providing nearly every hole on the golf course with a stunning view. The course is the centerpiece of a popular retirement community near Palm Springs, a location that enjoys nice weather year-round and is just 20 minutes from shopping, dining, and museums. The layout is on the shorter side, but it still has some challenging holes. The golf course demands accuracy with every contour of the rolling terrain and you'll be put to the test even further when maneuvering the small greens and narrow fairways. The bunkering is minimal but strategic at Date Palm C.C., and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. In addition to the golf course, there is a practice putting green.

My tee shot on the second hole. It was nice to get a birdie early. Photo submitted by Napawillie on 03/30/2015
Fun round with your wife
A nice quick afternoon round for a great value in the Palm Springs area. The staff was super friendly and we will surely play there again on our next trip. My wife really feels more comfortable on executive courses and this was a good one.
Nice executive course
Good 2 1/2 game. Some challenging holes but good place to practice short game. Through manufactured homes, can be a little tight. Some water features.
lot of bang for buck
great short course, nice staff. older course and equipment but enjoyable
Beautiful grounds to enjoy view
Although there are homes, we didn't hit any of them because they are logically situated for those who have a difficult time making pars on each hole.
Great views from every tee.
The course was well maintained, except for the rough. With long grass & leaves falling,it was hard to locate your ball.Lots of water hazards.Only one hole( with the large tree plus water to clear to reach the green) was very difficult.Very scenic course with fruit trees everywhere. It had several long holes,so you could use the driver. I didn't find the fairways that tight, but others might . Some of the sand traps had rocks in them, when others had nice sand.
We played it in 2 hrs & 20 minutes.
In season probably goodif you want to practice your short game without being overly taxed.
I played it when they were getting ready to overseed so my opinion may be unfair. Greens in good shape, fairways no so much (due in large part to eventuial overseeding).
Good for your short game tune-up
Nothing spectacular - executive course with four par 4's and 14 par 3's winding through a mobile home community. Played midday on a 90+ degree day and the course was empty - finished in just over 1.5 hours. Great value with the GolfNow price of $7.
Fun course for beginner
I am still learning the game, so this was an excellent course for me. I enjoyed the friendly staff. Thanks
Great for short game.
Fun short course with lots of trees and water hazards.
Fun Course
Fun course in great condition with friendly
staff. Good for your short game. Most
enjoyable.
Great Par 3 course.
Great Par 3 executive course with a couple of par 4. Plays fast in terms of time and is always a good deal.
Short course in decent condition-poor pace of play.
Greens were furry-slow-but fairly well maintained. Course attracts high handicappers severely slowing pace of play.
WHAT DID IT COST YOU ???
The experience begins by driving down a winding road looking for the clubhouse. Be careful as you curve around to a stop sign. Watch for golfers at the tee. I can't help but wonder how often vehicles are hit,
This development has seen better times, but it's all about the bang for my buck. If you paid the right price, at golfnow.com (hopefully not the posted price at the clubhouse) there's not a lot you can complain about. Friends,( old or new,) to share a day in the sunshine with are really why we're at this course. If you can ignore the details, like the attitude at the pro shop or the appearance of the golf carts, you'll enjoy the experience.
If you're serious about your golf, try another venue.
Excellent condition, but the greens were slow
About what I expected for a public par 58. But in excellent repair
Nice short executive course
Not what we expected. Course was fun to play - mature like most of people playing there (ie over 70)
Played with a couple in their thirties - so we were second youngest. Felt it was a senior retreat - staff seemed more interested in talking about local regulars.
Coffee/bar staff not too friendly - like we were a bother asking for a coffee.
nice design--holes of different lenghts
for an executive lenght course, the pace of play was horrible. Too many people are booked!
disapointing
It took 41/2 hours to play a par 3 executive course. It didn't help that the starter made us wait 30 minutes to get his regulars out.
This course is good to spruce up your short game
We found the staff friendly and we were able to start on time. The front nine fairways were not maintained -the grass quit long and the greens were kind of slow. But when we got to the 10th they were a lot better.. We enjoyed being able to play as a twosome for a change. We will be back again shortly. The coarse was good challenge for short game. I thought it was slightly over priced at $45.00
Friendly staff, fun to play
Great value for money - fun to play though some of the fairways were a bid muddy and lots of leaves on the fairways - greens were in good shape
