Date Palm Country Club
About
Nestled in Coachella Valley, Date Palm Country Club sits at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges, providing nearly every hole on the golf course with a stunning view. The course is the centerpiece of a popular retirement community near Palm Springs, a location that enjoys nice weather year-round and is just 20 minutes from shopping, dining, and museums. The layout is on the shorter side, but it still has some challenging holes. The golf course demands accuracy with every contour of the rolling terrain and you'll be put to the test even further when maneuvering the small greens and narrow fairways. The bunkering is minimal but strategic at Date Palm C.C., and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. In addition to the golf course, there is a practice putting green.

My tee shot on the second hole. It was nice to get a birdie early. Photo submitted by Napawillie on 03/30/2015
Great Little Course
Course in good shape, 3 of us played 18 in only 2 1/2 hours....also a "great price"!
Good course for an average golfer
I've played this course several times and have enjoyed all rounds. Good prices and enjoyable course, friendly golfers!
Golfing was great. It was 90 degrees and the water tank was even hotter. Seriously, the water at the clubhouse tank was beyond warm!
Lack of drinking water. Lack of snacks. Halloween packages of chips were a buck… Really!50 cents for that tiny bag would be too much.
Terrible to the max
Tee time at 12:30 no carts available. Starter said they always run out by 9:30am
He said we should know better than to expect a cart this time of year
He said the round will take 5 hours any time in March
We left
Great Value
The course was in good shape, and fun to play. My only complaint is that the man who runs the pro shop around noon is generally not very pleasant to customers and can be down right rude. (I've played this course 6 times in the past 2 months and I've observed this 2 or 3 times.)
Fun Venue
The course is in great shape. The greens are slow. We have played here many times. Someone must have spoken to the golf shop staff because they have markedly improved their friendliness. Just a really fun place to play a round.
very enjoyable
For the less experienced, or less brawny golfer this course is great fun, challenging enough, and 3 and 1/2 hours well spent.it is the best maintained executive course that I have played in the Palm Springs area. The only complain is that the carts can use replacing. All in all makes a very pleasant outing.
Great features
This is a challenging 18 hole course, tightly enclosed with beautiful big trees, and homes.
Everything is nice and green, just needs a little TLC, a lot of mowing and trimming. Will be fantastic with that done.
The course has good challanges
booked on golf now and the price was very reasonable
Great value
If you are looking to spend neither a lot of money nor a lot of time, this is the place. 4 short par 4's, the rest longish par 3's, you get to use every club in your bag. Lots os water hazards. Staff is friendly and very organized. Facilities and carts are dated, greens aren't always super smooth, but for $19 (internet special), it can't be beat.
Great track
Have played this course every year when we are down here. Great little executive 18. Vic is great.
Very nice course, well kept.
A very well kept course at a good price. Nice old groth trees for shade.
Well kept, nice surroundings.
Very pleasant environment, course in very good condition.
An Enjoyable Small Course
This is an 18 hole short golf course. Most of the holes are par 3 and straight. There are a few par 4s.
I enjoyed the experience. It's a chance to sharpen up your short game in a very relaxed environment.
Although I rode, walking is easy and I might do it next time.
not bad but not grate
IT wood be a fun little cource if they wood cut do on play to much waiting on tee boxes
Nice short course
We have enjoyed playing this course! Lots of variety and challenges to the various holes. Greens and fairways are well kept. Great value for the money. Staff are very nice. We have eaten at the course, and the food was quite good! Great patio to sit out and enjoy a view of the mountains and watch golfers tee off on the first hole. We would recommend the course!
Great value
Staff very friendly. I prepaid, there was no wait. Very easy.
No carts available
I had a 2:02 tee time on Friday, January 24th. After waiting about 10 minutes or so I inquired with the man in the pro shop about the availability of a golf cart. His response was "you're lucky if you get one by 3:00!" His attitude was very poor and he did not offer me any other options. On my own I decided to take a pull cart which I may add was in bad shape. On the sixth hole another golfer who also was waiting for a cart showed up and asked me to join him. The man in the pro shop is in need of some customer service training!! On the very positive side is the food and service at AJ's restaurant at the course! I will definitely be back at AJ's!
Comfortable course with reasonable cost
Fairways were average as well as green. Nice job of getting rid of geese.
