Los Lagos at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club

I had reservations about playing this course because of the reputation for slow play. That’s to be expected when you space teetimes at nine minutes apart. I have never seen such a tight spacing. However, we were second out and we played in under four hours! That’s a wonderful pace for golf. Believe everything you’ve heard about keeping the ball beneath the pin. Even in early morning the greens were slippery. I enjoy putting surfaces like that. There are a number of challenging holes on the course. I like the par five finishing. It always adds drama if the match is close. I would play again, but only if I had an early morning time.

Really?? Tee time 1:33, tee off: 2:03. Hmmm.

Maybe don’t overbook and have a martial out there, encouraging the slow folks to pick it up a little?

10:24 am tee time, started at 11:40 am. How can you get that far behind so early in the day?

I'm very like this course and i play so many times today i got really bad service from one of young guys around 7:25 AM(thursday). i paid around 60 per round at Los Lagos. but today they charged 67. i ask staff for changed rate, but he said i have to read email. but i don't have any email for reason for change rate. i understand other course keep change rate recently. i found reason they charge each cart fee 18 (2 for 36) ,, that's why..

but they're not enough service at all.

just simple answer, not toss me for read my emil..... so rude and no service mind at all.

Course is well maintained but , unfortunatly there was group tournament .pace was very slow. I waited 5 ~ 10 minutes every hole.

I love this track. Sometimes people who don't play Costa Mesa are not aware of the length difference between the 2 course's. Pace of play is always the curse of a long course. Longer par three's and no one waving up. Five plus hour rounds can be frustrating but it happens...The greens are the jewel of this track. Stay below the hole when you can because 3 putts are going to be a killer...Lagos is classic and will always be at the top of my list.

Got there early to hit some balls starter called me to the club house and ask me if I wanted to tee off early and I told him that would be perfect he saw that I wanted a cart and he told me that I have to wait till he finds somebody to ride with me after he just let a 5some tee off so 1 had to be riding by himself. They had plenty of cart but I guess this guy name Scott didn’t givecare about customer service especially after offering to tee off early. Play was so slow no Marshall around waited every tee box. Will never go back.

We were made a 5 some but had 4 separate carts The round went the quickest it has for me in a few years! Made the course more enjoyable to play Thank You Management team!

So slow play due to allow 5 persons play on sat before 1 pm.

Great golf course and Money worth

But playing time was toooo long.

Too many twosomes very slow play didn’t get to finish tea off at 4:10
