Extremely poor for Par 3 standards
The worst Par 3 I've ever played. Even applying an appropriate understanding of this being a Par 3, resort based, short course, there is no reason a course should be in this poor condition. Considering that most holes are in the 65-75 yard distance, all it would take is some minimal focus on the greens. Would only consider if free if part of your stay at Hyatt.
Fun Course!
This is a great course if you’re looking to spend an hour or two practicing your short game. Holes are short so you don’t need irons or driver. I can imagine if you have kids this would be a great introduction to golf. The conditions have improved since the last time I was here, the staff has always been fantastic here, friendly and professional. The hotel is beautiful if you have a chance to wander in, and the restaurant and bar is a great way to end the day. Do not expect a PGA level course, expect a fun time in a beautiful spot.
Manage your expectations
This is a fun little par 3 course that is free for hotel guests. Years ago I brought my boys here when they were young and starting to play and we loved it! For kids it is a great place to start and its s not usually crowded. I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for a real golf course. It is a glorified putt putt course but the setting is beautiful with a lot of elevation change. This is just for grins and giggles. Relax, have fun and enjoy an easy going round in a beautiful setting.
Back Bay golf club
Nice par 3 course. Beautiful place. Greens are shockingly bad. Amazing that Hyatt have such a beautiful resource and neglect the greens to this extent. I have never played greens so bad, anywhere in the world!
DO NOT PAY FOR THIS COURSE!
Okay, I played here several times ONLY because I was staying at the Hyatt and it is free for patrons.
The only thing pleasant about this course is the view. There are weeds everywhere, you have to tee off from mats, the greens have weeds and crab grass. Seriously, the grounds guy(s) only mow this place.
If this place got it's stuff together, I would gladly play $5-$10 a round for this pitch and put, even if I were staying at the hotel.
So much wasted potential.
