About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Please don’t allow 5-somes
Got stuck behind another 5-some, who then broke themselves up into two groups, a 3 and a 2. But they only had ONE tee time, so it slowed down play even further. And they were again allowed to create their own tee boxes, as far back as they could go. Mark, the marshall, did nothing. Second time this happened.
Terrible
Friday around noon. Par 62 golf course, but course condition itself terrible for green fee. Under 50bucks seems to be high.
Play pace was also unbearable.
There are too many beginners.
Cheaper course in Orange County
Not worth the price but maybe it’s good enough to stray people because the pace of play is horrible. No marshal and the kids would hit multiple balls off the tee. Conditions are fair for the price. Lots of dead spots on the fairway. Greens are well maintained.
Waste of money!!
Very disappointed with this course. The pace of play was extremely slow and made the round frustrating from start to finish. The course conditions were below what you'd expect for the price, with several areas that looked poorly maintained. The layout also felt awkward and uninspiring, with holes that didn't flow well and weren't particularly enjoyable to play. Overall, the cost of the round is simply not justified by the experience. There are much better courses available for the same money. Save your money.

Terrible
Played today, the course needs to gap the tee times especially for a Monday. Played behind two twosomes, pace of play was 19 minutes a hole. Took over two hours for 9 holes, ended up leaving after 9 rather than the 18 I booked.

Had a blast
A lot of fun we were a group of beginners paired with a fun seasoned golfer. Can’t wait to go back and stoked I live close to this course. If there was anything higher than an A plus they would get it. Get the onion rings

Don't play here on Friday afternooons!
The past two weeks, we were stuck behind several groups of "members", who apparently are allowed to do anything they want... There was one five-some. They make their own tee boxes as far back as they possibly can; then they drive about halfway to the green. Their pace of play would make a snail seem like a cheetah, and they simply don't care about holding everyone behind them up. There were THREE groups waiting to tee off on hole 5.
We spoke to the marshal, who instead of being helpful, made us seem like the bad guys.
we've been playing here for years -- i would hate to have to take our business elsewhere, but the past two weeks have been unacceptable.
We sincerely regret that your experience was less than perfect. We care deeply about our guests and want to provide the most comfortable experience possible. We will address these issues and hope that you will see improvements the next time you visit.

A short course was even shorter
Enjoyed the course but tee box work on most holes made several holes significantly shorter. A few less than 80 yards. For the price, expensive, but still fun. Bar and grill was closed when we finished at 7 pm. Bummer, no beer after the round.
Nice short course
Lots of great holes, not super long, so you can play 18 holes fairly quickly. Pace of play was slow due to a foursome in front of us that was taking their time. I wasn't in a real hurry. The duo behind us ended up playing the back 9 with us since they were waiting as well.

Condition and Player Level
Expensive for a course of this condition and level of players. Almost got hit my a golf ball three different times and we were just standing on our tee box.

Tee Boxes
Great course for the money. Very friendly and no wait. Course was in good condition but tee boxes could use a little work. Traps were like concrete. Other than that is was GREAT!
