About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

A short course was even shorter
Enjoyed the course but tee box work on most holes made several holes significantly shorter. A few less than 80 yards. For the price, expensive, but still fun. Bar and grill was closed when we finished at 7 pm. Bummer, no beer after the round.
Nice short course
Lots of great holes, not super long, so you can play 18 holes fairly quickly. Pace of play was slow due to a foursome in front of us that was taking their time. I wasn't in a real hurry. The duo behind us ended up playing the back 9 with us since they were waiting as well.
Condition and Player Level
Expensive for a course of this condition and level of players. Almost got hit my a golf ball three different times and we were just standing on our tee box.
We sincerely regret that your experience was less than perfect. We care deeply about our guests and want to provide the most comfortable experience possible. We hope you give us another chance soon to share a more positive experience.
Tee Boxes
Great course for the money. Very friendly and no wait. Course was in good condition but tee boxes could use a little work. Traps were like concrete. Other than that is was GREAT!

First 18 with my son
Staff at the shop were great. The wings and fries were excellent.
Play started a bit tight on the back 9 due to a junior tournament, but it didn’t disrupt the overall pace or the friendly, relaxed atmosphere across the course.
This was my son’s first full 18, and the layout made it a smooth experience, straightforward, accessible, and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back.
It’s a lighted course, and the lights came on right after sunset, which was beautiful to watch and added a great ambiance for evening play.
The course is smaller, with many par 3s and par 4s, making it very forgiving, especially for beginners like us.

DLB Course
I've been playing this course since I moved here from KC in 2002. We used to play for $20 bucks before covid. They are over pricing now at $70 bucks!! Lower price some and stop with the pre-pay!! This is NOT Pebble Beach!

Nice Course
Perfect course to work on your short game. Early tee times are better. Due to the inexperienced golfers on the course.

DLB Course
It's my home course, so I love it. But, the price should be lower. Before covid, we used to play for $20 bucks. Also its not a premier course, so the pre-pay should go away!

Moderate Course with slow pace of play
Saturday mid day tee time was backed up about 3-4 groups, I guess that’s to be expected at an affordable course on the weekend. Course was average, very tight and compact. I would play here again if it was a really good deal, didn’t feel like a good deal just average with a lot of wait time (probably 2-4 groups backed up at every tee box).
