Shockingly Poor Experience
I have never been so offended by a staff member and players. Our tee time for 3 players was at 9:32 this past Friday the 26th of September. We are in our carts in line by 9:30, it is so backed up that we don't tee off until almost 20 minutes later. Nerves high with many watching and not having swung clubs in at least a month and I hit it less than 100 yards. I brought my sister for her first time so as she was walking up she overhears the Marshall sternly and NOT jokingly tell me that I should be hitting off the silver tees (women's tees) with my swing and for me to pick up my ball and go. She was so embarrassed that she DID NOT EVEN HIT THE BALL because of how the Marshall was treating me - after having just paid $200 to golf with family. She could only imagine what he would say to her if she didn't hit it well enough for him. Then as I get to my ball, the group in front of me is not on the green yet and if I hit the ball well I can definitely hit them. As I am waiting all I hear is the group two groups behind us screaming for me to hit the ball - as if I were the reason we were teeing off 20 minutes later than our scheduled tee- time. Fast forward to the fourth hole and were are 5 carts backed up, with no reason at all for the previous group NOR Marshall to treat any player like that, especially on the first tee box. The marshall talking to me the way he did in front of the other players allowed the players to feel so comfortable as to scream at me to hit the ball. The full 18 took 5 hours to finish and my sister only hit the ball a handful of times. Extremely poor attitude. I have been golfing for the better part of a year and have made it out to many courses and I can honestly say Ive never had to wait so long, and I have never been mistreated as I did last Friday at Loma Linda.
Nice course
The course, is very well-groomed and laid out nicely. I can't wait to play this place again.
Terrible pace
Pace of play was so bad, it took over 4hrs to get through 9 hole.
I would not recommend unless you play early and have at least 6+hrs
Great Course the Money -
This is a great course for the money that I’ve played several times and thoroughly enjoy it. There are two courses, but I play Los Lagos, which is the longer course the carts do not have GPS so you must bring your rangefinder if you want. Any chance I’m guessing your yardage. Breakfast burritos are fantastic and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Just a good group of people all around.
Great course
Had a lot of fun playing this course. We got backed up on hole 4,7 had to wait close to 30mins at each of those holes. The price was marked up it used to be 50-60$ and now its 86 but other than that I had a blast. One of my favorites in orange county definitely coming back!
Rude staff. Poor tee time management.
Had a tee time at 10:43. I arrived at 10::34 and that lady behind the checki in counter literally shouted at me that I was late! “Next time call ahead if you’re going to be late. I gave away your tee time! “. But I wasn’t late. If you don’t check in 15 mins before your tee time they will give it away. This is not my first negative experience with the people behind the counter. They’re extremely rude and uptight. It’s their way of expressing their bitterness towards having jobs that they hate. Fortunately most players here are friendly and courteous.
best value
best golf value in OC.
great conditions
try to off before 8
Unfortunately Never Going Back
Last week I played Los Lagos side and it took 6 hours and 35 minutes to play. Yesterday I played Mesa Linda side and played for 6 hours and only finished 15 holes. It’s an absolute shame that whoever is in charge of setting the tee times doesn't spread them out by 5-10 minutes more. It’s unbearable to pull up to every tee box with 2 foursomes waiting to tee off. The starter, Sean, has the worst attitude I’ve ever come across. Like why have this job if you hate everyone so much. The Marshall has the easiest job in the world. He literally just drives around and doesnt stop or talk to anyone. It’s actually pretty funny. Play here if you like to play a 5000 yard course in 6 and a half hours. I wasted $70. Oh and the cart fee is a comical $26 and you have to share if you’re 2 singles and they’re running low on carts.
Don't have the time
I love playing Los Lagos but this last round was it for me
I know that it's usually a 5 hr round but yesterday
I played the longest round I've ever played 6.5 hrs and yes I stuck it out !! But it was absolutely painful and unnecessary
Stop over booking the course it's greedy and unfair to your golfers !! And get your Tee times back on schedule starting 25 minutes past tee times is just crap
Unbelievably Slow
Teed off on Lagos at 12:30. By 2:30 we had two holes completed. No less than 6 groups stacked up on #2. Instead of finding the slow groups and speeding them up, Marshals instead drive and pick up trash. After 4 1/2 hrs I had to quit in 12 when there were still 4 groups stacked up. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never play an afternoon round there again. Not worth the 6 1/2 hours of my time.
Poor customer service at checkin
The guy who works the check-in window on Thursday mornings is one of the rudest/unfriendliest people that I and my other 3 companions have encountered at any golf course. He won't check you in until everyone in your group is standing at the window. So, if you arrive early (30 minutes) and want to practice on the driving range before your round, you have to go into the clubhouse, pay for the balls, go practice, and then come back later to check in. Instead of being able to check in, pay for your round and the bucket of balls and not have to come back. That's bad enough, but his demeanor and tone are rude. He obviously didn't pay attention in the "Best practices for customer service" class. This Club has 2 courses and is almost always busy, so maybe they don't really care. The good news is that everyone else there is very friendly and helpful. Too bad that one bad apple can spoil your day, before it even gets started.
1st time
Starter guy is not nice, pace of play is very slow there's 3 flights stack at the tee mound.
Did the course get back to you with any resolutions? I see many responses that they’ll look into it and clearly nothing has changed if their staff is still treating guests like this.
