Mesa Linda at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club

If you enjoy 6 hour rounds go play Costa Mesa, they dont marshall the speed of play, most people playing the course dont know what ready golf is.

One of the best kept greens , weather always a great 70 and sunset over the water pond is amazing, well ran and was good tine .. Monday thru Friday no delays most times great experience good distance in between holes ..

I’ve been a resident of Costa Mesa for 30 years and having been playing Lagos and Mesa Libra since that time. I only play occasionally because it’s 10 minutes from my house.

This course gets worse every single year. Overbooked, lengthy waits, and poor surfaces.

If you want to turn a golf round into a 7 hours disaster then this course if for you.

Always overbooked.

Took over 3 hours to hit 9 holes.

At one point, there were 4-5 foursomes waiting at a tee box

Each shot hit resulted in waiting.

Tee box, wait…fairway, wait…layup wait.

Light bookings made for early start FAST round.

For a $29 weekday rate, this course is a steal for the course quality. Pace of play was good for a heavily trafficked course - had a 1230 tee time and finished before 430. Course is not long, but don't be fooled - greens are challenging with bunker placements and undulating greens. Course is in good overall shape. Only thing you have to watch is for errant balls, as the track is wide open with no protection, so players will hit onto other holes. Two practice greens and tons of range bays for warm up. This is an excellent value course I will definitely play again.

It took us 5 hours and couldn't finished last 3 holes .

If you love slow play this is your course. 3 hours to complete the front 9. First time I've ever walked off a golf course before finishing.

Overall course was in great shape. Sand traps conditions and sand was poor. Additional bench’s on tee boxes would be great while waiting to tee off

Folks as they check in to play ready golf. I see people filling out scorecards by the green and not the next tee. People need to get to their ball and be ready to hit. People don't need to be low handicap to play at a good pace.

I walked this course yesterday on a fairly hot day. At the turn my buddy and I asked the lady in the snack bar to refill our water bottles. She handed me an 8 ounce cup half filled with water and said that's the most she can give me. If we wanted more water we have to pay for more cups. There's no water fountains at the turn either. This was absolutely disgusting for a municipal course.

My sister and brother visiting from Canada and I had a great golf day on this course. Challenging enough and a lot of fun.

Only gripe is they let 5somes play. Starter was 20 mins behind and my tee time was before 7am. Besides that grass is great big wide tee boxes nice greens and playable bunkers.
