Los Lagos at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club

To our shock we discovered that the course was walking only due to the previous day of rain. We found out during check in. No warning at all. And, needless to say, all their push carts were being used. We could not carry our cart bags so we tried to get a rain check but the staff wouldn’t accommodate at all!

Great time today for golf, we finished 18 holes in 3h40m walking it. Front 9 i had to carry my bag because we didn't have cart access. Even though I paid for cart included with golf now, I wasn't permitted to use said cart due to the rain prior. After 9 holes they had pull carts, that really helped on the back 9. Course played quick, no delays which is rare for a Friday. Love this course 4.1/5

Unfortunately the group in front of us had the slowest repetition of warm ups. They took a ridiculous amount of time before each shot, they slowed down the race of play and there were zero Marshall's to govern their pace of play.

We played as fast as we could. But after 9 hours taking 3 hours I decided to write this review. Course looked great, greens were superb. Everything was fine, we had a blast other than the group in front of us playing their first round of golf ever, they took more time than Bryson Dechambau

Just know that there are no marshals to govern pace of play on Sundays, I saw workers and the beer cart personal but there was no way to speed up the slowest foursome in front of us. I hit into them 3x with my new driver. Course played great, fast paced greens with lots of break and different lines to choose from. Overall a great experience with your friends. Expect weekend rounds to take 5- 5.5 hours week day 4 to 4.5 hours.

This was my first time playing this course and I had a good time. I was matched up with 3 other gentlemen whom also believed in ready to play. The course was in good condition even after the rains. Other than the 5 sum in front of us taking their sweet time, we were still able to finish in 4 hrs...I definitely would only play these courses early, preferably 7:45 am or earlier because it looks like they stack these courses way to much.

Too many back to back tee times booked. Slows pace of play incredibly.

It took 3.5 hours to play 9 holes on a Wednesday afternoon! The tee time was at 12:57pm and we did not even tee off until 1:10pm….terrible course management makes this course unplayable.

I like to play on this course but it is always slow unless you play in the early morning. Back 9 might get a little better. If you plan for 5 and half hour round, then your are fine.

Really the only complaint or dissatisfaction I have is the lack of tee time management. With two courses there should really be no reason to send out groups of five, or stack tee times the way they do. To show up and be told that “we are 7 groups behind” is insane to me. I’ve never worked at a golf course before so I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes but I’ve played many and have never experienced that. To anyone coming here to play, expect a 5 hour round or more. Also, expect to tee off 30 mins after your tee time.

Greens and traps were good. Fairways were average, muddy in some places
