Fun golfer
Course is good for all ,players, but some think they hit farther than possible so wait time is slow

Read the reviews and if it is true then shame on this course
I was reading the reviews and was quite shocked to see a gripe about an employee being racially discriminatory to Asians. If this is true, Costa Mesa will be losing customers very quickly. Asians make up a big majority on Southern California courses. Make a resolution and solve the problem of staff before you lose money you are already losing. Sad to hear about this in 2023.
Negligence in dealing with formal customer service complaints on racial discriminationation
We’ve been a local resident for nearly 30 years and played at the course for over a decade, was part of the womens membership, and play there regularly. When we filed our second racial discrimination complaint to the manager about a specific employee who was rude to the asian american community, we were told as a “good will” our fees will be refunded and the case will be investigated. Our desired outcome was to receive some explanation as to why the employee treated our party the way they did and to get an apology. It’s been 2 weeks and there has been no resolution (no refund) and only excuses when we followed up with the manager. If you believe in equality and zero tolerance in discrimination or even zero tolerance to unacceptable customer service, avoid this golf course.
Always a great track
Extra wet, and the rough is up which present a challenge you don’t normally face around here. With all the rain, the greens are in great shape. Gonna be top notch as it dries back out! Go enjoy the elements, this is how golf was designed to be played!

Los Lagos
This course is a challenge for me as it is a long course and I don't carry much distance. Overall it was fairly forgiving.

Unfriendly Staff/AWFUL Pace of Play
Overall course was in good condition. Incredible tee boxes, good greens, fairways decent as well. Pace of play was just brutal. 3 hours for the Front 9. Overall teed off at 12:04 and finished at 5:30.
Course itself is decent. Just too many demerits for me to return.

Ridiculously Slow
We were 3rd up on the first four holes. We played three holes in 90 minutes. Total round for 9 holes - yes 9 was 3.5 hours - we finished in the dark.

Pace of play has gotten out of hand
I am writing this review from the 10th tee. My tee time was 9:40 and it is now 12:43. They have put me in a 5 some as well as one in front of us. Six months ago it was possible to play a round in 4 hours. My last 5 rounds have been over 5 hours with the newer rounds being closer to 6 hours. The course desperately needs to improve pace of play in order to continue for it to be a fun experience.

Horrible pace
If you’re into a 7 hr round look no further
Left after the 7th hole as the front 9 holes had an eta of 4 hours

Course Nice but Pace of Play Horrible
Los Lagos is a fairly nice course and inexpensive to play. The problem is pace of play is the worst I've ever played. The course starts with Par 5s on Hole 1 and 2. By time we got to the second tee box there were 3 groups on the tee box ahead of us! At each of the (2) Par 3's on the front it remained at 4 groups on the tee box. Every shot there was a very significant wait. I quit after 9 holes & several other players quit sooner. The issues: Course jams as many groups out as possible. Additionally, the course is flat so many golfers are older and still walk. if you play expect a 6 hour plus round.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course.
