They need to make some changes
I really like Costa Mesa. Good range, fun layout, good conditions, especially considering the traffic. However, it's time for them to raise prices and cut back on tee times. Pace of play is unbearable on the weekend. This week I walked off after #12. Last week I walked off after #9.
Lagos starts with back to back Par 5s. By the time we made it to the Par 3 4th, there were 3 groups backed up. Things ease slightly on 5 & 6, only to get logged jammed again on #7. The course layout and player mix (a lot of blue hairs and beginner hacks) just don't allow for 7 minute intervals.
6 hr rounds are just unacceptable. If they can get pace of play to 4.5 hrs they could easily charge $75-80/ round with no complaints and a full tee sheet.

Over booked tee times
The last 4 times I’ve played here the tee box is 3 times behind. We tee off 20 min after our time. The course is nice but pace of play is terrible. We wait 10 min a hole and lose feel of the game. This will be the last time I play here.

Great course, slow play
The course was in great shape and the guys that I got paired up with were great to talk with. Only downside was the pace. We were supposed to start at 1:27, didn't tee off until 1:50 and were waiting on almost every hole. Didn't get time to finish as sundown is 5:30. Walked off hole 15 about 6 in the dark.

I want my 6 hours back
Tee time was at 11:09 . Teed off on time. Finished 18 at 5:10p . I would never come back that is simply unacceptable.

I'm not sure I'm talking to the coarse. I've played there for 20+ years, clubs and other events. I'm still a member of a club there. I've never seen conditions so bag. The person checking in was rude and acted like I've never been there and should bow down to him. I told him to cool off, it's not my first rodeo. Regardless of prior customer relations, happenings, etc, we are clientele looking to have fun. When it starts out like that, it's not.

Good price, assuming you have a chance to finish.
Third time playing a LL, and I have still yet to get 18 holes. 4:30 hrs and barely finished #14. The reason why is because the price attracts so many people, and the windows are exactly 10 mins. Why do so many people walk? Because they know they won't do all 18 and the price & plays are good enough for a front 9. Also the cart prices are almost half of the green fee. So mix in the walkers, the small windows, and the F9 distance, you will get a very slow round with poor pacing.
It's not any of the golfers fault and the course is good. I would recommend to management including the cart price transparently & upfront in the green fee, and allowing some walkers to do the back 9 so F9 isnt so stacked. This is why Mesa Linda goes faster because the F9 doesnt loop back to the club house.
If you play at Los Lagos, expect a 5+ hours during peak tee times, be wary that carts don't equal faster pace of play, and bring a friend who you can pass the time waiting at the tee boxes.

The course is in good shape, green roll fine, but the pace of play is abismal. 3.5 hours for 9 holes, waited on every tee box and at least 3 groups waiting on every par 3. I booked 18 and left after 9. It blows my mind that a golf course can think this is an appropriate way to book tee times. The regular I played with said this is the standard. It’s unfortunate that management chooses to maximize tee times at the expense of pace of play.

REALLY SLOW
Finished 9 holes in about 3 hours... pretty brutal. The course is in good condition with grass on fairways and fast greens.
