Desert Dunes Golf Course

Played early, so pace of play was great. Course in good condition only a couple of greens appear to have had a fungus. Plenty of challenges for all level of golfer.

Course was great, consistent with all Robert Trent Jones tracts.

Many greens and traps in need of TLC. Jones would be disappointed.

The whole course needs to be shut down. Dismal condition all the way around. It could be a really nice course but either do to funding, or poor management or both it is in very bad shape. Do not waste your time or money to play this course. $10 is to much for green fees here.

i like this course. Pretty challenging to me. Will definitely come back.

Course was in rough shape. They seemed concerned that we were keeping up with the 2 in front of us but two holes a head of the group of 5 behind us. Not worth the price with all the other courses around. Finished. Under 4 hours and pushed our cart the last two holes.

I had a great time at Desert Dunes. The course has a nice layout and design with a real natural setting. The course condition was average at best from the rough, but they do call it the rough . The fairways were a bit spotty on several holes but overall played nicely. The greens were very playable with a nice putting speed for a bogey golfer. Three greens had some small issues but overall it was a great value and fun course.

I have played this course many times over the past 25 years and not much has changed. This is not.a golf course with lush fairways and manicured greens and bunkers but it not a cow pasture either. Fairways are a little bumpy and sometimes bare in places and the sand in the bunkers is substandard..Greens roll OK but not easy to putt because of the undulations. This course is located in the wind tunnel so I don’t book a tee time until a day or two out so you can get the wind forecast. Despite these deficiencies I will play Desert Dunes again and again.

Great layout fun course with all the yardage you need

As you pull into this place you see nothing but dirt and dead landscaping. My group immediately knew we wasted our money booking a teatime here. We should’ve spent our $75, which was a “deal”, elsewhere. We all agreed we would’ve spent another 50 bucks somewhere else if we knew what we were in for. No idea how old the asphalt is but it’s like driving on a dirt road. The clubhouse is old AF and needs major redoing. I don’t know where they got their golf carts but they’re absolutely destroyed. I’m shocked we made it through the round without something falling off or it going dead. Worst golf carts I’ve we’ve ever seen or used. I was embarrassed to put my golf bag in the back of it. The driving range is basically a dirt field. Don’t rely on the photographs from their website or golf now. Very misleading. This place appears to be on the verge of bankruptcy. The golf course conditions were way way below average. I will say the staff and the cart girl were very nice. No problems with the customer service.

In short, we will never ever consider playing here again and wouldn’t play here even if it cost us nothing. There are so many amazing golf courses in the Palm Springs area that this one shouldn’t even be considered.

Beautiful weather but the course was in rough shape. Some very wet spots. The greens were spotty. Would not return until the course is in better shape.

Enjoyed the round today. Easy to get in trouble if not hitting straight. Fairways decent. Greens a bit bumpy. Moved through the course quickly.

very challenging course, but lots of fun, once you figure out where to hit and where to drive the cart! Sadly, caught up to a SLOW foursome -- not only poor golfers, but also fishermen plucking balls from water hazards til they finally responded to our glare and moved on.
