Confused
I booked a 920 tee time for 2 last night. Wife decided she didn't want to go. (Devastated, but I got over it in time to play) Front nine was very pleasant. Came up behind one group, and they promptly let me play through. Walking up to tenth tee, i saw 3 men with 6-7 small (3-6 yr olds) on the tee box. I love seeing kids that young falling in love with the game. They were having a blast. But they would NOT let me go through! One of the men finally suggested I just go around them and jump to 11. So that's what I did. Figured I'd just play #10 last to complete my round. I would have. But after finishing 18, they were STILL on the hole!!!! Now I don't blame the kids one bit. I hope they had a blast and become golfers for life. But the men that were in charge had no clue how to act on a golf course. That used to matter. The entire first section of the USGA rulebook concerns nothing but etiquette on the golf course. If I wanted to get in serious trouble as a kid let me act up on the golf course! I wish kids were taught how to be courteous and respectful on a golf course today. I really wish they had someone to teach them.
Nice and cheap
It’s a great place for us beginners. The course is not really all that nice but it’s a great chance to swing some club and get some practice.
Great Executive Course Value
This executive course is easily walkable with optional push cart. The course isn’t usually crowded which allows for 18 holes often in 2 hours. Not the fanciest course, but a great value for your money.
Close, repair, reopen
With green fees this low, expectations were minimal, but the course still fell short. The conditions are very poor and the course is nearly unplayable. In several cases, the pin was placed in the fairway instead of on the green. If the course is in this level of disrepair, it should be closed until necessary improvements are made.
Great practice course
I've played this course two times within the a week and fell in love with it. I can see they are actively working on some of their greens but it's worth price and a great course to get better on.
Great for beginners
It’s a great little par 3 course that is beginner friendly and affordable. Staff is helpful and friendly.
cross creek
the price is right on for youngsters and new golfers. It looks like they’re working on improving the overall conditions… the greens need a lot of attention as well as the tee boxes.
Cross creek golf course
It would have been nice if there was some sort of advertisement saying something about the greens being repaired. Majority of the course didn’t really have putting green. I assume that’s why the price was so low.
Par 3
Nice little par 3 course. Never hit more than a PW. Greens are terribly slow and they did appear to have numerous temporary greens that were just in terrible shape. Should just pick up your ball and don’t even attempt putting. If the greens were nice…this would be a gem.
You get what you pay for.
Short par 3 course for working on your short game. Several greens are temporary as they replace the permanent ones. Tee boxes are similar to light rough.
It’s hard to complain about a course that charges $11 for a round. Thought it might be good for my wife (new to golf), but it is tight in several places and (it is Cross CREEK) and she would lose a bunch of balls. It is very low and does not drain well- might be better if given a week to dry out. Staff were pleasant and they have a great restaurant.
Review
Amazing par 3 course with 18 individual holes. Best $10 I’ve ever spent on golf.
