Black Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, championship course that is conveniently situated less than an hour from Savannah. The course sprawls across acres of rolling countryside, surrounded by nothing but lush meadows and hills, providing the round with peaceful seclusion. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels and the blue tees are enough of a challenge for more advanced players. The front nine has a wide-open links-style layout that provides an interesting contrast to the back nine, which is characterized by tree-lined, narrow fairways. The greens are large and undulating and sometimes framed with strategically placed bunkers. The golf course winds through scenic coastal marshes and wetlands, which come into play on 13 holes. There is even an island green on Black Creek Golf Club's signature hole, the par-3 15th.

Great course for a good price

Course is in pretty good shape. Couple greens need a little love. But for the cost compared to other courses , it’s very worth the trip.

Perfect day

Weather was perfect, got the HOT deal rate, and was out with good friends. Only better would have been informed of the track man screens for the range with the pur hase of my large basket of range balls.

Our 3 some got caught by a single player, and we invited him to.join us. We had a blast...course was in great shape for.the beginning of the season, just wish they'd rebuild the clubhouse that was destroyed a couple years ago by the tornado...

A great day

Got there early and hit the range. Unfortunately for me, the gal on the clubhouse failed to.inform me about the track shot equipment available with the medium and large bucket. Course was in pretty good condition for this time of the year.

Horrible experience

We have played this course dozens of times without issue. We played today and were stuck behind 3 miserably slow groups. It took us roughly 3 hours to get through the front 9. It got to the point groups behind us were purposely hitting into us when they could clearly see the group in front of us was still not even to the green. We get to the back 9 and the group in front of us tells us to play through. The next hole we are approached by staff and removed from the back 9 because someone named “Dennis” complained we were holding his group up. The groups ahead of us continued to play and we were told we had to replay the front 9 if we still wanted to play 18. If you go here be warned they pick and choose who is held to a standard and who isn’t.

Very open but a lot of variety

I’m a + 10 handicap been playing for about 10 months as a golfer from the low country area this is one of my courses to go to the staff is great they are laid back the course had decent green the storms and this winter have messed up many courses this year I think it’s definitely one of the more underrated courses in the area

Support this course!

first time. a very interesting and challenging layout ( for average golfers). Storms have damaged course bridges and some cart paths, and destroyed the original clubhouse. the temporary clubhouse is functional, the staff is very friendly and the course is fun. play here and you’ll have a good day and help support a deserving business.

FUN FUN Course

I found this course on GolfNow on my way back from Florida. It was not overpriced like so many in the Savannah Hilton Head area. The course was 6000 yards and you could hit driver on almost every hole, as long as you kept it in play you were always in the hole. The grains were pretty good considering the time of year.I didn’t feel there were any goofy holes or gimmicky holes It was just a lot of fun and I would definitely go back.

I guess a few years back the course lost its clubhouse and trees and a bridge or two due to a tornado so I’m sure others would be picky about some bridge detours, but I think if you go play this course, you will have a good time and that’s what’s important isn’t it?
