Black Creek Golf Club
About
Black Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, championship course that is conveniently situated less than an hour from Savannah. The course sprawls across acres of rolling countryside, surrounded by nothing but lush meadows and hills, providing the round with peaceful seclusion. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels and the blue tees are enough of a challenge for more advanced players. The front nine has a wide-open links-style layout that provides an interesting contrast to the back nine, which is characterized by tree-lined, narrow fairways. The greens are large and undulating and sometimes framed with strategically placed bunkers. The golf course winds through scenic coastal marshes and wetlands, which come into play on 13 holes. There is even an island green on Black Creek Golf Club's signature hole, the par-3 15th.

Not Worth the Money
This used to be a nice budget friendly course until the new owners increased the pricing to $55 for 18 plus $15 for my pregnant wife to ride with me (Not like they were short on carts). The course still has no trees re-planted after the tornado so still no character to the course. If it rains, it’s soggy for three days. I would be fine with the increase in price if there was a visible difference of money being put into the course. I think it was bought in November and as of February, nothing had been done. I haven’t went back since and I don’t plan to. I use to play the course 1-2 times per week, now I will only play as a last resort. It is not worth $55 for a 2 star course.
New Pro and friendly staff. Fun course.
Two of us played in windy weather in the morning and calm sunshine in the afternoon. The course was wet, but playable. W.D. Moye, the club pro, was very helpful in determining which holes to watch for wet spots. Enjoyed the round. Clubhouse has not yet been rebuilt from storm damage.
terrible greens
They have let the course fall, Greens were bumpy and bare spots on most greens. We did not see anybody doing maint or blowing off leaves. Overall course was dry in need of water
Greens
Greens make or break the course, in this case greens
Weren't in good shape. It is March and it's early. So they hopefully will improve.
Pace of play was terrible. It was hit a shot then wait wait wait.
Starting to many groups in to small amount of time
Pace of Play Conditions
For this time of year and the rain that we have had the course looks good. Greens are weedy and very bumpy. Pace of play was horrible. Had a foresome in front of us playing out of only 2 bags of clubs holding up progress. Got to hole 18 and there were 4 different sets of groups waiting to tee off to finish the round.
55 bucks is insane for this place
This place was once a really good course. Now I guess they're just trying to make as much money as they can. The greens are horrible. Plinko. 55 bucks to play here. It's at best a $20 course right now. I don't know if it's New Management or what but it is terrible save yourself the trip
The new owners are Working hard to get it back to before the Tornado that was the set back.
I and my friends loved to play at this course before . I still play there because I can see how hard the new owners are working ! I am going to keep playing there to help get this course back to challenging courses it was and still is.
terrible greens
Not sure what they have done to their greens but they were terrible. Putting is a major part of ones game and when you see your ball "jump" "go left and right" you add strokes to your game! This takes a lot of the fun playing the game. I do know they have received a lot of rain, but the greens were in bad shape two weeks ago!
I really hope they can get back their greens before we try playing there again
