Golfer Reviews
Love the layout
Home course and I absolutely love the layout. This course has come so far over the years and it’s showing. Yes sometimes it may seem a bit to expensive for the local uni but it’s a good decent course lets you work on some fun shots and usually the staff is friendly and lets you be.
Sometimes the tee boxes are a bit tough with this Georgia soil, but the greens have gotten so much better it’s unreal.
Two of the holes that were as I’d say water collection zones are making a good come back since the course has stepped up and worked on a good drainage system so that’s made those two holes better.
I’ll always play this course, home course and it’s fun.
LP hot round
Had to wait for member member event to clear. Very wet in fairways as it usually is. Course has improved but has a way to go. Drainage is always going to be an issue as many holes sit so low. Restaurant has good food and friendly staff
Unilateral decision to change my tee time
I strongly advise against playing at this golf course.
Here is why: My 1:10 PM tee time was fully booked and confirmed. On the morning of my play, I received a call informing me that my tee time had to be moved to 3:10 PM, or I would have to cancel. This decision was completely unilateral. There were no weather-related delays or rain at all. It is unacceptable to treat customers this way.
Rough needs cut dow
This course I can’t even say enough about, been playing it for years and it’s made an amazing comeback and well worth the money IF they cut down the rough a little bit along the fairways and around the greens. Played 2 weeks ago and again yesterday and both rounds of you were even slightly off the fairway or greens your ball just disappeared. You have to be standing right over it to even see it.
Now this course has quite a few small window tight fairways so that alone makes it a good challenging course but when you hit the fairway with your drive and it rolls out 220 yards away and you goes off the fairway just take the drop and play on your not going to have time to search for it because the rough is so thick and so high your ball is just gone. I had quite a few shots yesterday that the ball should have been easily found but wasn’t. One of the par 3’s the guy they paired me with and I were just off the side of the green, we hit almost identical shots and we never found either of our balls we both had to drop.
Other then that great course but 2 things need to be mentioned to the groundscrew, don’t cut the fairways down to greens height which the guy mowing was doing yesterday (you want SOME grass under your ball on a fairway) and cut down the rough a bit so we can find our golf balls.
Besides that amazing staff that’s done a great job bringing this course back to life, wish they would buy Southbridge and fix their issues as well.
Best it's EVER been!!
I have been playing here since it was Willowpeg. I have never seen this course in as good of a condition as it is today and it's only going to get better. Fairways are excellent, Green are great. Very little poeanna or bad spots. Best cart paths in the area. They have really put a lot of money into this place. They even lowered the rates for a couple weeks after they punched the greens. What course does that. A+++
The course has improved
The first time I went to this course was backk in 2025 and I remember one of the hole in the front nine was under repair. Now the hole (Hole #4-5 i belivele) is good to go. They even made a nice water fountain in the middle. Green were ddecent and in good condition. Great bar and restaurant to have Lunch.
Great improvement, well done!
A lot of work has been done at this course and it really shows. It’s in the best condition I’ve seen there. Layout is great, it’s a fun course to play. Greens had recently been punched and sanded so they were a little bumpy but in good condition. I’ll be playing here more often.
Effective Renovations and Updates
The course and facilities have had quite a bit of modernization done and it has improved the quality of the course. Parking is undersized and chaotic with improvements needed.
Amazing Place to Play
This place is amazing, no issues, they are working on the course and constantly making it suitable for our needs, love the work and love the greens!
HUGE improvements
Played April 9 at 2pm for $50. The value that this course offers cannot be overstated. The tees and fairways overall are in good shape. Some of the greens, #s 2 and 5, for example, have recently had work done, and a few others have bad patches here and there, but they didn’t really have negative effect on the round. The entire tee box on #12 has been resodded so it plays as a short par 4 which actually makes it a little bit harder. Met Taylor and Darren from the grounds crew-super nice and knowledgeable and I could tell that they are taking pride in the course and their work. Bar service and food were really good and affordable. Well done, city of Rincon. Yall are doing a fantastic job with this place.
They've come a long way
Overall the course is in great shape other than the greens,
I apologize that the situation was not communicated to you correctly. It poured that morning which delayed the tournament that was going on. Even after the delay, the wet course slowed things down even more, so we made the decision to notify the tee times that would be affected. Again, I apologize that yours was one of those tee times.
